Scott Frost Would Rather Be Playing Any Other Team From Michigan

Submitted by BursleyHall82 on

Just saw this quote that he gave earlier this week to the Orlando Sentlnel:

"If you'd ask me whether I'd like to play Michigan or some other team in Michigan that might not be ranked in the top 10 in the country, I might not give you an honest answer on that," Frost said with a sly grin. "But listen, this game is on the schedule. I don't want our kids to be afraid to play anybody. I think our guys are excited to go up there and look that challenge in the face and take swings at them."

So, in one breath he says he's afraid to play Michigan, and in the next breath he says he doesn't want his kids to be afraid to play Michigan.

Sorry, Scotty, but you aren't coming up here to play Ferris State or Hillsdale.

And listen to your coach, boys. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

You'll find the article here.

Spartan Bob admittedly cheated to keep his team in the game.  Steinbrenner pressured Henson into leaving Michigan by leveraging a Yankees contract which no non-OSU owner would have offered to Henson.  The ADs in 1973 screwed Michigan out of a Rose Bowl appearance due to internicine politics.

Scott Frost said his undefeated team was better than our undefeated team.  I'm not seeing that as in the same ballpark.  Not even in the same league.  Frost may or may not be a douche, but when your team is undefeated and destroys Tennessee in a bowl game, arguing that your team is the best in college football is hardly atrocious behavior.

I don't need to hate Scott Frost to make the game on Saturday interesting.  Fifteen year old slights from a then-college QB really don't bother me.

The earlier stuff was worse, saying that we were being considered for the #1 because we hadn't been national champs in 50 years.  There was a lot more tearing down of Michigan in the run-up to the two games, and CBS (?) who was broadcasting Nebraska-Tenn put up some graphic comparing Nebraska and Michigan.  The graphic showed stats that favored Nebraska including margin of victory and, how their opponents fared in bowl games.  Their opponents won most of their bowl games and ours were 0-7.  But they played two fewer opponents that went to bowl games.  Oh well.

They also left out some key comparative stats as well:

Common opponent #1 - Colorado:  Michigan 27 Colorado 3, Michigan dominates.  Nebraska 27 Colorado 24, Nebraska taken to the wire, almost loses.

Common opponent #2 - Baylor:  Michigan 38 Baylor 3, Michigan denies Baylor the end-zone.  Nebraska 49 Baylor 21, Nebraska gives up three touchdowns.

Also, the Big Ten finished 7 - 0 against the Big Twelve in 1997, including bowl games.

This is going to be a big score, likely in the 60 range again.  No mercy this week.  Besides, there's little drop off when we substitute...long afternoon for Scotty.

Yeah, Scott Frost it may very well be, but UCF it definitely is and you don't need the predictive sites (you don't need Frost either - what he says now matters not) - although the numbers are always fun - this time around to tell you that the correct prediction is:

I really hate that you're making me somewhat defend this tool but when you're a coach, you don't want your players to be afraid of ANY opponent, even when you know you're insanely overmatched.  That's just common sense.

The guy is still an asshole and I look forward to our guys beating the living crap out of his squad but let's be real here.

I thought about this yesterday after reading postgame comments from Peppers and Gary (who were disappointed). He's playing a pissed off defense because they didn't get their shutout...

This defense is about to be locked in and ready to fuck shit up.

I'm sure he'd rather play most other teams not only in the state, but in the country as well. Unfortunately for him he's gonna have to take his whoopin like a big boy and move forward. Saturdays can't come quick enough.

For those that haven't listened, Sam Webb went nuts on Scott Frost this morning on WTKA, and it was hilarious. The last segment of the podcast is where half of it is. Probably the best half. I'm sure they will talk about this comment tomorrow as well. Can't wait.

What butthole goes on and on crying and begging to give his coach a undeserved title and bad mouths another team? Then his mom gets her butt involved. Screw both and hammer him by 100. Scare the crap out of others. I think I also remember HARBAUGH at Stanford kicking a field goal on USC up by 40 in the. 4th qt. no mercy
