SB Onslaught Continues
The SB Team continued their winning ways today by smoking OSU in Mercy-Rule fashion 13-1. This is the second of three in Columbus.
Freshman DP Amanda Vargras hit a Grand Slam in the 3rd inning. She finished 1 for 4 with a run scored and 4 RBIs.
Romo kept her batting and HR title hopes alive by hitting a 3-run shot in the 1st inning. She finished 1 for 1 with 2 run scored and 3 RBIs.
Silo also went deep in the top of the 4th inning. She finished 1 for 2 with 2 runs scored and 3 RBIs. Kelsey also went deep in the rout.
Haylie was the starting and winning pitcher. She pitched 4 innings and allowed no runs on 2 hits. She had 1 BB and 2 K. Tera pitched the 5th inning; giving up 1 (ER) runs on 2 hits, with 1 BBs or Ks.
The Buckeye pitching gave us 12 BB (7 Ks) which we certainly took advantage of. Coach Hutch was able to get many players rotated into the line-up today.
The rubber game is scheduled for tomorrow. Let's make it a clean sweep over those Buckeyes.
