Beat Tech...oh wait. Shit the bed Martha.
The better TTU does, the better we look.
I'm rooting for Virginia too. Bennett is a stand-up guy and he has been so consistently dominant the past 6 years that he deserves a FF.
TT could win it all and it wouldn’t make Michigan look any better for how they played that game.
Well, TTU getting absolutely destroyed by Gonzaga would make us look quite a bit worse.
Nothing will change Thursday's result or how badly we played. But TTU continuing to dominate the field will make us look less worse
1-19. That is the worst in history shooting. And it wasn’t because of Texas techs defense, they were pretty open shots. So a team that shoots decent, will beat/compete with tt.
michigan had a good year, over achieved the first half of season. I expect them to improve. Good players. Good coach. Just young and wasn’t the year.
I agree. We had a lot of open shots. I didn’t think Texas tech defense was all that great. We were horrible. I think they get destroyed by Gonzaga.
Taxas Tech's defense was fantastic. Michigan struggled with 3s, but Tech absolutely attacked Michigan's weaknesses.
Are you kidding me their defense is phenomenal
This comment sure has aged well.
6th currently on KenPom.
A good year. But key losses to MSU and the Texas Tech debacle sure do tend to crowd out the goodness of the 30-3 in other games.
Who's idea was it to take clumsy pills before the game last Thursday?
I was screaming at my tv for them to completely abandon all offense and just keep pumping threes until one fell. This was still in the first half.
They didn't take my advice.

I was thinking It might have been a game if Charles Matthews had used those 18 opportunities to drive and then shoot his 10-15 foot fadeaway. He couldn't have scored any less.
I want the toughest possible path for MSU.
I think Gonzaga, Virginia and Kentucky would be that if they get past Duke.
it is amazing how quickly they forget that Michigan was just in the championship game and that they haven’t made it out of the first weekend in 3 previous seasons.
MSU has had a cakewalk so far.
I think that's about to change. Hopefully.
I’m rooting for MSU to lose. It will kill me to see them win it all. But if they win tomorrow they probably will win it all. Ugh.
Still will have to play Gonzaga (hopefully) and Virginia or Kentucky (hopefully). Still possibly two more 1 and 2 seeds to get through....if they beat Duke.
Purdue would be new blood.
Plus I don't think Purdue + 2019 NC would add up to a recruiting juggernaut. Would it even be noticeable for Beilein?
Watching TBS and Puppet Posse apparently......I think Gonzaga can do this.
Go any team playing MSU. Sparty can kiss my ass.
On pace for 80-80
Of course TT looks like any other team now. We gave them way too much credit and we’re way too scared of the D.
Even if Michigan hit 7-19 for 3s it would of been a closer game.
M looked psyched out for some reason - playing too fast, dropping the ball. Tech is a very good team but not unbeatable like we made them look.
Yeah TTU’s defense looks mortal today... but Gonzaga is the best offensive team in the country. Also, TTU is only down 2 points to a 1 seed... so that’s pretty good actually.
This is a veritable offensive explosion compared to Thursday night.
TT switches, Zags get a mismatch down low and they get the ball to him. Imagine that!
Zags mismatches down low are a lot better than ours.
Hachimura is better than any of our post players by quite a good margin
We throws passes to Teske with a guardian him and it goes wide and out of bounds
I love Teske, but it didn’t help that he shot 1-4 from the field and 2-6 from the line. That partially caused us to go away from him.
I'd like Mark Few to win a title. Too bad he and Beilein couldn't face off. Maybe when Beilein fields a decent shooting offense.
For recruiting purposes, I'm not rooting for Purdue.
But Bennett, Few, and Beard would definitely be good guys to get a ring
Gonzaga’s flow with a big (Hachimura) who can hit 18-21 footers and take guys off one dribble just emphasizes how much UM missed Moe this year. Teske plays great D but we need a 4 or 5 who stretches the floor to make Beilein’s O flow.
Chris Beard has to be the second best defensive coach in the country behind Tony Bennett.
He’s bound to get plucked by a bigger school
Looks like Gonzaga at least has a pulse against the TT D ...
Zags should - they have the #1 offsense in the country.
Drink, every time these idiot announcers say, “swarm”. You’ll be drunk shortly.
Swarm = go to the ball.
Basketball logic and the announcers make it sound like it’s almost death and has never been seen.
IDGAF
thanks for checking in to tell us you’re not paying attention.

My ennui is off the charts
Zags have the best lineup in the country
TTU defense not looking so world-beating against good offensive players.

Agreed. Livers is probably the only guy on our team where I see him take an open three and think “that’s going in” at the release. For the rest of the team, threes are somewhere between a hope and a prayer. Hopefully that changes next year.
Great season, and there is plenty on which they can build.
One of the biggest differences is that neither of these teams had time to prepare for each other so its just matching up and playing. TT had 5 days to prepare a defense for Michigan and it showed. Michigan also played brutally awful, which Gonzaga is not. Think TT is showing they are legit.
Matt Mooney from Texas Tech had a chance to come to Michigan instead of TT. I feel like he would have been huge for M. Good defense, smart, and can shoot. We really missed a true three point shooter this year and watching this kid makes me wonder how much of a difference he could’ve made for M.
Had a chance at Cam Johnson as well. Be nice to either pick up a grad transfer or Franz Wagner in the offseason.
