One thing we can take away from this game is that RR has had success running the ball against majority of the coaches his teams have played against.  This will be no different on Saturday, we will pound the rock around, over, and through the ND defense en route to a 31-21 win.  My bold prediction for the game is that we will run for 300 yards as a team.

I *assume* ND has a lot more pure talent on the D side of the ball than Cincy did.  UM's execution this year won't reach that of WVU's in 2007.  UM's D numbers won't reach that of WVU's in 2007 (even relevant to better competition).

Alas, I guess it's encouraging to know that RR's system could run on Kelly's D, but (1) Kelly's not a D-minded coach - an analysis of GVSU (Martin) and its success against the read option may be more relevant; and in any event (2) I already know that, properly executed, RR's system will shred defenses.  The Georgia Sugar Bowl and Oklahoma (post-RR) Fiesta Bowl are all I need to see for that.

Still, I'll take a mirror image score line of that Cincy v. WVU matchup for tomorrow!

Kelly managed to get about 100 yards more than RR's defense gave up on average.  That's not assuring, even if Cinci was one of the better teams WVU faced.
