Why not leave Masoli in... the chances of him not pulling off a yard are pretty slim... 4th and 1 is almost always a go for it, by the numbers.

I really though when Jesus blew out his birthday cake candles, he would have wished for an Oregon win....I think he pulled a sneaky sneaks and wished for world peace...again...

as did Wisconsin and Penn State.. some of you guys are ridiculously bitter/jealous. It's like the fat exgirlfriend saying the new girlfriend is dumb and slutty. I root -for- Michigan. Not against other teams.. unless it benefits our bowl placement.. which in this case it does not.

Just try to laugh it off. No one who really watched this game should think that Pryor "won" this game or "matured" in any way. At least Young deserved the hype after his Rose Bowl win.

I used to be conflicted over whether or not I wanted Ohio State to win, but now that it appears obvious that they're about to win, I want so badly to see them choke. I think the shots of osu fans celebrating in the stands were what convinced me that I'm rooting for the Ducks.

instead of the OSU defense - but whatever. Now OSU will be ranked in the top 5 to start the season and Pryor will be a preseason heisman favorite despite the fact he is likely to throw for about 2000 yards.

No idea if this has been covered already, but Zach Boren is a decent blocking fullback. Why would Michigan not offer the guy, just out of courtesy? Did RR make the conscious decision not to offer despite his brother being on the squad? I remember everyone on boards said he was not worth it, and was only a 3* but he is playing well for a good team. I hate OSU. I hate Boren. I hate sweatervest, and I hate this offseason. Go Blue.

I think Zach Boren has been a huge surprise for the Buckeyes this year. I have a tendency to watch him a lot; he's an easy guy to spot in formations where he is used. He made a handful of really good blocks today, and I saw him completely fan on a couple of others. One led to a Pryor sack. One play, Pryor was supposed to have a shovel pass option to Zach and Pryor fouled it up. Did Zach have one carry today? It's pretty apparent; both Borens have found themselves in a very good place. Justin's success was predictable; Zach's wasn't. OSU didn't even offer him until Justin left Michigan. (btw, I saw some 2-star ratings for Zach, too.)* I can sort of see why Michigan didn't offer him, inasmuch as no one else in the Big Ten, or any other BCS conference, did either. Zach Boren has proven his doubters wrong. (I was never a Justin doubter -- while others were harping about Justin being fat or lazy or whatever, I wasn't among them.) So if settling things on the field is the final arbiter, the Borens may be having the last laugh. I don't worry about that too much. The players are going to do what they do, no matter what I might think or say. What will always remain unaswered is what the Borens meant by "family values" at Michigan. Whatever Zach does or does not do on the field, for as long as people think that "family values" refers to some failing on the part of Rich Rodriguez, we should be there to remind folks that it really refers to Mom and Dad Boren going nuts about a scholarship offer for Zach. Anyway, this was a big night for the Buckeyes, and in my view a very good night for the Big Ten. I won't lose any sleep over the Bucks' or the Borens' success. *As a total aside, if we're talking about 2-3 stars from good Ohio h.s. programs -- like our own Ray Vinopal -- Zach Boren and Chris Borland are two pretty encouraging freshmen in the Big Ten...

Is the absolute worst. Ever, ever, ever. I need to just mute games he calls and go with the radio broadcast. It physically pains me to hear him call games.

My 8 year old son asked me why Pryor chose #2 for his jersey. I said I didn't know but thought it was probably just his favorite number. His response was "Maybe it stands for 2 rolls of Toilet Paper." A small but clear sign that he understands OSU is the evil empire.

Worst Rose Bowl champions in a decade? Or longer? Why is it that when we got to the Rose Bowl we had to play a USC team full of NFL stars in waiting and Vince Young as he was peaking, and OSU gets to play a self-destructive Oregon team that got handled by Boise State? When it rains, it pours, I guess.

Well, we did start off with Washington and Wisconsin... But I feel tour pain about the Ducks. I think anyone in the Rose should have to face USC, just to feel the same pain I did sitting for USC, Texas, USC. But other than when they have to play for the national title, OSU seems to luck into favorable bowl match-ups. (Notre Dame; wasn't it Kansas State one year when we were getting clobbered out there?).
