Ronnie Bell injury

Has this been discussed? I guess I didn’t even see him leave the game. Hope it’s nothing serious.

He left limping, looked like it could have been ankle. Kinda suprised there hasn't been more talk about it.
October 30th, 2019 at 7:27 PM ^
During the game replay it looked like he was holding his knee. Either way I hope he gets healthy soon, he's a big part of our offense.
October 31st, 2019 at 8:06 AM ^
Possibly the biggest part we had through the first 7 games. That young man saved our ass a few times. Hope he gets better soon. We need him
October 30th, 2019 at 9:09 PM ^
Looked like a hyperextended knee.
October 30th, 2019 at 9:38 PM ^
I saw that too and this sucks. After PSU I wanted him to explode the rest of the season. He was the one guy who you could see was working his ass off no matter what. Drinking some Old Forester 1920 and hoping for a quick recovery Ronnie.
October 30th, 2019 at 10:18 PM ^
The 1910 is a better pour than 1920 imho.
October 30th, 2019 at 5:57 PM ^
We will find out soon, but wouldn't be surprised if he misses this Saturday and rests up over bye week.

Good thing Sainristil got those reps Saturday night.
October 30th, 2019 at 6:06 PM ^
It is actually why he got said reps......
October 30th, 2019 at 6:09 PM ^
I thought he snagged one near the sideline before Bell went out. Could be wrong though. I wasn’t drunk, so I wasn’t all that functional at the time.
October 30th, 2019 at 6:53 PM ^
Well done.
October 30th, 2019 at 6:58 PM ^
It may have been before the injury. It was a 3rd down catch. May have shown he can catch in the clutch. It was not an easy catch, especially with the rain.
Sainristil had actually earned playing time from improving his hands from practicing with the JUGS. This is a great opportunity for him. I hope he get polished up over the next 3 games, and ready for Ohio St. His quickness may make it one too many holes in the dyke, and not enough thumbs for Ohio St.
October 30th, 2019 at 6:58 PM ^
Sainristil got reps in the first half. He was the orbit guy on Charbonnet's run and had 2 targets before Bell for hurt in the 3rd quarter.

Sainristil had earned playing time from improving in practice. It was unrelated to Ronnie Bell.
October 31st, 2019 at 9:37 AM ^
Sanristil looked pretty reliable out there.
November 3rd, 2019 at 4:37 PM ^
He looked great. He is quickly becoming one of my favorite players.

Has that ever been confirmed? I always thought it was him...

Dude had about 4 accounts going at once.
Benn, Jay Z, DiscussMan, and WD. I'm probably forgetting one or some.
But that was when he was a teenager (2 years ago) so it's all good.

His foot has been amputated
October 30th, 2019 at 6:19 PM ^
Bell said: "It's only a flesh wound."
Lists himself as probable for Sat.

Tells Lincoln: "If Johnny Reb thinks Maryland is part of the Confederacy, we've got another think coming for him, sir! I am ready to join the ranks if you need me, sir!"
October 30th, 2019 at 6:26 PM ^
According to reliable sources, he's only "mostly dead", so it looks like there won't be any need to go through his pockets and look for loose change.
October 30th, 2019 at 6:20 PM ^
It was on the high throw by Patterson. He leapt up to try and catch it and came down and kind of locked his knee out.
Didn't look comfortable but if it's no update I would take that to mean he didn't tear anything.

Shea is a weak link.

speaking of weak links....

bfeeavveer, time to leave this site and never come back.
October 30th, 2019 at 6:53 PM ^
I like your enthusiasm but non sequitur nonetheless
October 30th, 2019 at 6:23 PM ^
Cam McGrone status? He was down for a couple minutes after that late fumble. Herbstreit and Fowler didn’t talk about it on the broadcast, but he was down for a good couple minutes. Seemed to be walking around okay after the game. He is our best defender.
October 30th, 2019 at 9:38 PM ^
I feel like Michigan's season was jump started the minute he took over.
October 30th, 2019 at 6:25 PM ^
Please, please, please can we just have all the nice things for the rest of the year. And all the years after this one.
October 30th, 2019 at 6:51 PM ^
Are you worried? Really, Mike Sainristil and Cornelius Johnson are better talents than Ronnie Bell. This need for them may end up making the team better.
October 30th, 2019 at 7:09 PM ^
I think it’s very premature to say that both guys are better talents. I’m not going by recruiting rankings because Bell was clearly not rated even close to what he should have. He’s been great especially for a 2nd year guy, while the other two have only saw limited action. There isn’t enough data to say Bell is at a talent disadvantage.
October 30th, 2019 at 8:23 PM ^
This fanbase is too quick to dismiss our most productive receiver at every chance. Ronnie Bell is really good.
October 30th, 2019 at 8:34 PM ^
He was a 3* under the radar guy focused on basketball in recruiting, and is still fine tuning his technique and working on his hands. That's not good enough for the star gazers here.
Fact is, he's been getting the most separation of any of he receivers (even better than our prototypical NFL types like DPJ and Collins) all year, and that's why Shea targets him so often.
I expect Collins to go pro, DPJ is 50-50, and hopefully Tarik doesn't transfer.

But... but... but he dropped A pass!

October 31st, 2019 at 9:39 AM ^
This season would look a lot different had he caught that pass.
October 31st, 2019 at 10:14 AM ^
And that game would have looked alot different prior to that pass without him so what is you point?
November 3rd, 2019 at 4:40 PM ^
Different good, different neutral, or different bad?
October 31st, 2019 at 8:34 AM ^
Mr.Ezekiel, you hid in the weeds for awhile. Now you surface as your troll self . Shape up or leave.
November 3rd, 2019 at 4:42 PM ^
Um, what?
You ok?
October 30th, 2019 at 6:36 PM ^
Maryland should be a breeze. Rest up for 2 weeks and come back to pound the Spartans
October 30th, 2019 at 7:40 PM ^
A few weeks ago I was called "stupid" for suggesting that the Illinois game would not be an automatic W. I've watched too much UM football to take this game for granted. That said, I hope you're right RX.

October 30th, 2019 at 6:49 PM ^
He’s now the backup, though taking first team reps this week as the starter is injured
October 30th, 2019 at 6:48 PM ^
Sainristil could fill in great. Cam McGrone was given a starting opportunity because of injury. He became a super important part of the defense, something they needed, and didn't have. He's brilliant! Mike Sainristil could become the same for the offense.
October 30th, 2019 at 7:35 PM ^
Ronnie has been our most productive receiver. Stats are facts. We will need him if we hope to win out.
