Ronnie Bell's path back to the field

Submitted by PeteM on December 29th, 2022 at 12:23 PM

Last year, when Bell tore his ACL against Western, BPONE raised its ugly head in my mind and I assumed that 2021 would be a disappointment (obviously, don't ask me for betting or stock picking advice). I was thrilled when he came back this season, but while he's been our leading receiver in total catches this season some drops early in the year made it feel like he wasn't his old self. Anyway, his touchdown reception against Purdue was a great play by both him and JJ, and I imagine that part of this season involved him getting fully back on track. Here's a piece about his road to recovery:

A very fluffy story, but a fun read anyway.  One Ronnie Bell deserves it because of the immediate aftermath of his drop against PSU in 2019.  Maybe not forgotten, but a long distant memory that everyone can make a mistake - even one of Michigan's best receivers.

The plus side of that drop is the outpouring of support he received in the very next game.

I would love to see him end his college career on catching the game winning TD from 4th and goal on Georgia's four yard line. You want to talk about coming full circle from that drop he had against Penn State in 2019?

Couldn't ask for a better ending for him.
