Rich Rod before practice
Someone posted some video of Rich Rod speaking to some people about to observe practice. Worth a look if anyone is interested.

How can you not love this guy? Is it September yet?
I also love the disclaimer at the end for practice. 'You're going to hear some things...'

things happening. At MSU, it's boring...same old thing.
This is unexplored territory for this program in my lifetime. In all my 44 years, I don't think I have ever seen the head coach stand on a stairway and talk with fans and take questions for 20 minutes!
Take nothing away from Bo, Lloyd, Yost or Crisler, but Rich Rodriguez is not only building a championship program, he building a championship fanbase. What is going on in front of the doors of Schembechler Hall is just as important as what happens behind them.
The media may treat RR like crap and not give him the respect he deserves, but I guarantee the fans will. Name another head coach of a major program that takes un-scripted, un-screened questions from, his audience and answers them in depth and DOESN'T beat around the bush.
I agree, "we will win games when we DESERVE to win. We'll win championships when we DESERVE to win them."
Welcome to the next GREAT era of Michigan Football! GO BLUE!

I agree with the sentiment, but there was no YouTube back in Bo's, Mo's, and most of Lloyd's years, so who knows what kind of generous PR type of stuff they did? Nevertheless, I agree that every word that comes out of RR's mouth makes me a bigger fan.

I wish someone would have asked RR how involved he is with the defense

^^^ he's not involved. He leaves that up to an actual DC that does his actual job unlike Schafer. RR is the offensive genious, not defensive.

I am glad I watched that. 14 f'ing days and a wakeup. Or is it 13? Whatever.
What struck me the most was how relaxed and seemingly confident he was.
He knows something...

I am still amazed by the access we are now getting to the program and the staff. It is such a different atmosphere and we should all be thankful. Tick...Tock...tick...tock September 5th please come faster!

I was sitting there asking "Could Bo ever do that for the fans while he was coaching"? or Lloyd either?
Probably not. It was an impressive thing to see RR do for the fans.
