Ricardo Miller-Redshirt burned or not?
I apologize if this subject has been broached before, but I still have never heard a definitive answer. On Mgoblue, it states he played special teams vs UMass, but I've also heard that was a mistake and he did not. I thought for sure the plan was to red-shirt him, and playing him on special teams would make no sense. So..anyone know for sure?

If the coaches had burned his redshirt during the UMass game, we would still be seeing him weekly on special teams. It's not like there was a blown coverage or anything, it's my understanding that the special teams unit has been the same all season (minus kicker). I think the plan is to redshirt him, Robinson, and Williamson, while getting Dileo and Jackson playing time

found here, he is not listed as having played in that game. I also did not find him listed in any other game. If he has actually played, the NCAA doesn't seem to have a record of it that I can see.

NCAA is trying to bait Michigan into this one. I kid, I kid.

Ok good. It didnt add up that he played on special teams. I know he is raw, but I really hope he lives up to his potential and becomes a top WR for us.

I happen to be in the camp that believes you play who you need to play in order to give your team the best chance to win. We're all quite aware that Coach Rod needs to win, and win right now. As much as we'd all like to plan for the future (with Ricardo Miller, Devin Gardner, and others), we simply don't have that luxury right now. If we can start winning, the recruits will start noticing, the recruiting classes will improve, and not having Miller around for a fifth year will become less of an issue.
The business analogy might be, "you gotta spend money to make money."

I agree with most of what you said, except for Miller. We have depth at his position, so the chance of him, as a freshman, making an impact is slim.

Lets find a way to keep him on the team for the next 10 years. He may be the best recruiter we have!
