A Question of Pronouns
Well, that wasn't very fun. It was great to get just a little taste of our future as a spread team, but unfortunate for our seniors and our new coaching staff that it had to end up this way.
Anyway, my question is: on what date am I allowed to refer to THIS season as LAST season, and refer to NEXT season as THIS season? I'm looking forward to that day with great anticipation.

After the bowls. Last season is still 2007, on account of the fact that we played its bowl game in this calendar year (so calling it "two years ago" would be a little odd).

I vote for right now because everything that a player does from here on out is in preparation for their first 2009 football game.

Unless I'm mistaken (which is very possible) aren't you asking a question about adjectives?

Haha, you are not mistaken. My bad. Before I posted I was planning on using this and that as pronouns instead of demonstrative adjectives... didn't come out that way though.
