Just me looking at a google map from 12 hours away but getting off at Consear or, if you're into the jam, St. Anthony and then driving east to Summerfield, north on Summerfield to the Summerfield/23 interchange should avoid the traffic. *Per google maps only*.
Edit: google's map of the backup now extends almost to Consear.

PSA for you, looks like it clears up just past the Welcome center about 5 miles ahead of you, around mile marker 9 or so

Update for people who care (and it's cool if you don't)
I'm now at a Buddy's Pizza for the first time and just found out Notra Dame lost. If the traffic jam was the price to pay for this, I'd pay that seven days a week and twice on Sundays.
