Proud of our team

A couple of bad plays/calls from beating OSU and Alabama. They played hard and look like they'll be better next year on both sides of the ball.

11-0 going into Columbus in 2020. 12-0 coming out with a 3 score minimum win.

See you guys next year.

They basically exceeded most people's expectations.  I saw a lot of 45-10 predictions.  Sure, a win was possible if they had better play from Shea and maybe Hill, but it's not like they lost to a worse team.

Quit with the positive comments about the team. The sky is falling. Only whining is allowed on this site.

What team were you watching this season?  A couple plays from beating Ohio State and Alabama?  Are you still drinking from last night?  Wake me up this decade after we win a bowl game (any bowl game), and beat Ohio State....but yeah, super proud...

What?  If our QB could of punched in MORE TD's than FG's we are in this game or win it.

Players have to play.  The D played well enough to win, our QB needs to make plays.

We were competitive and played well enough to win on that side of the ball.  We are a great QB away from winning this game.  OSU .... no ... we got stomped.  This game .... yes we could of won it if we punched it in more when close.

Says FatPete .... I know football and played most of my life.  It was a good outing (we were more competitive than most thought) but our QB for sure stunk it up.  You can't hold a team like AL to no points but the offense has to score more TD's in a game like this than FGs.  That doesn't make sense to your fat brain?

I think we played a very good game.  If the offense (esp the QB) could of punched more TD's instead of FG's this game is different.  AL is going to score and our D played well enough to win had we scored more TD's.  We are a ( in this game and others this year) great QB away from winning more games.

AL is a top tier team and we hung with them most of the game.  Again, I don't know why we went away from the running game 2nd half .. but our QB long ball is just not good.

Good season (minus the OSU stomp) and we could of won this one with some better QB play.  We did not get embarrassed IMO today.

We played tough and were very competitive. I think DM is going to be a MUCH better QB for us next year.  Please no more transfer QBs.  =)

You keep repeating "D played well enough to win," and I'm wondering if by that you mean surrendering 204 yards receiving (a career high) to their best player; allowing their back up QB to throw for 327 yards and 3 TDs, and giving up 136 yards and 2 TDs on the ground to Harris (many coming when they desperately needed a stop to have any chance at a comeback), constitutes the D playing "well enough to win?"

I'm saying I think the D played well enough to win this game had our offense scored more TD's instead of 3 FG's (or even kept scoring in general).  The D did their job well enough against a team that is GOING to score points but the offense (the QB) let us down.  Had we scored more TD's and kept the game closer it might of been a different outcome.  I am not saying they played great but they kept us from getting blown out and well within striking distance had our offense scored more TD's / points in general. I just feel the offense let us down and the QB play was poor, especially the 2nd half.

Actually, because of many rude comments on here after people post I thought you were calling my post "stupid" but now in re-reading it I see that you must of double posted and were calling your own double post "stupid".  It happens all the time especially when the site is overloaded.

So with that ..... I apologize actually. My "go clean your room" response was because of I thought you just threw out there quickly and without reason my post was stupid.  I re-read your actual response to my post.

Proud of what exactly???? Please enlighten SH*T.....we continue to give up big plays, and we can't score after the half.  But hey....that's something to be proud of.

Stop with these types of loser mentality threads.  Harbaugh loses 4 straight bowls and QB play still horrible after 4 years.  Loses to the 4 best teams on the schedule.  Really trying to fill Bo’s shoes it seems minus the Big ten titles.  This was not a great season. Kudos to the kids who worked hard but I am not proud of this team at all.

Well, the bowl game ending on a last-play interception seemed.....fitting somehow.

In any case, I am sure that we will all reconvene for football on 9/5/2020, I believe, Spring Game and August camp notwithstanding for the moment.
