Propose some solutions

I’m sure there is no easy answer but the only positive I can grasp onto is that this team is not completely devoid of talent.

We have a qb that is struggling mightily but he was still an effective passer last year. We have an OL that is veteran and played well last year. This year they can’t pick up stunts. We have receivers who are very talented. On defense we are thin up front but have a guy at DC who worked magic with lesser talent in the past.

I think something is definitely wrong as far as the culture in the locker room so I know there is no one thing that will magically change everything, but if we want any chance of turning this around to at least respectable, what do you think needs to happen for the rest of the season? Do we keep going with Gattis calling plays or do we go back to what we did well last year? What can we do on defense that we can do well? I think 8 wins will be our ceiling, I just want to hear some thoughts on what we can do to get there.

I would love it if Woodson were somehow involved with the program. He clearly has the love for Michigan, and I was impressed by his ability to simply and clearly articulate his football knowledge in the pregame segment with Urban Meyer (his warnings about the trail technique proved to be prescient on the Cephus reception, though in the DB's defense, that ball was perfectly thrown). But between a nice gig on Fox and his winemaking endeavors out here in northern California, I doubt a program role would appeal to him.

With the unrealistic expectations of this fan base there are only two coaches that would legitimately take Michigan to where a lot of people think it should be. We would be looking at Bob Stoops, or Urban Meyer.

Any other coach would have an abomination of a recruiting class. Either of these two coaches would probably improve the class we have now. Neither will happen, but that seems like the only thing that will satisfy most of the fan base.

I’m fine with Harbaugh staying, I’m just hoping that there isn’t something more serious wrong with him than just “dialing down his temper”.

Haha only a Meatchicken fan would think Urban would ever coach a team he took pride in practicing all year to beat. And won’t even say the M word. Some meatchicken fans are delusional.

Honestly outside of ❌ichigan, people don’t view your football program as elite or even good. You’re mediocre at best. You’ll find very few coaches out there would even go up there to coach. It’s not what it once was.

You think it’s about money and so you guys throw it away on Mr Khaki now. Ohio State doesn’t lose to the pathetic team up north. We even take your coaches as a way to weaken you even more. You guys aren’t even in the same realm as Ohio State in the last 15 years you have won 1 game. But every year we hear about how great this year will be, the Revenge tour ?. Keep dreaming ladies.

❌ichigan mans response as if everyone wants to go to a school that’s been irrelevant for 15 years. Yes you will walk out of the Big house happy that your season is over and start talking about your “Revenge Tour for 2020” LOL

❌ichigan’s record vs Ohio State the last 15 years 1-14. Not even close. You can go back to the 1920s and the cooper years, but that was the last time we worried about you.

Now you are are no longer the winningest program, what will you tell your sub par recruits now?

Lol you guys all sit in a circle and come up with these ideas? Just last weekend on Fox he won’t say the M word but he will be your savior? You’re grasping at straws and only pathetic attempt to relevance is your pipe dream that the coach of The Ohio State would come back in to coaching to resurrect MeatChicken back? After he dismantled them every year in recruiting, coaching and most importantly on the field.

Yeah that makes sense. ?‍♂️ It’s not just the Coaches and players that have lost their minds but their fans have as well.

Don't worry,  when we go 6-6 it will happen.  People,  we need to admit we were wrong about our coach and move on.

If we get blown out of enough games this year with having an experienced and talented offense their will be no more excuses.  Its year 5.

We? You can't address one damn issue. "We" don't even really know what the real issue is watching from the outside. Who is calling the plays? Who has a final decision on personnel decisions? Who does Ben Mason practice with during a game week? Answer those and you might find what you are looking for.

I love it. MSU looks like complete trash 2 weeks ago, at home, against a non-ranked team, and there is no way we lose to them. Now they go to Northwestern and play well and we struggle against a top 10 team on the road, so that game us now a possible loss. I knew there would be overreactions on the board, but I didn’t think everyone would become a whiny pussy

look man I don't think you get it, this is well beyond X's and O's. Yeah sure if we play the game on paper we are looking fine but with what the players are saying and if that is the case then right now we have a SERIOUS culture problem and a team with zero leadership. you think we will all of a sudden just get motivated and pull it together? Every single guy sounds depressed like they are just throwin in the towel...FFS we had TWO weeks to prepare for Wisky and we see what happened there. now we have one week to prepare for teams and at this state we don't have the luxury of planning farther ahead than the actual game we have next

Here's my advice: Go for a hike, get laid, and celebrate your life; I beat melanoma cancer for the second time this year.

I realized that I have been out of college for a while. I also realized that after these tough losses, 90 percent of these players are probably going back to their college homes, pounding a few drinks and chasing coeds.

So why should I get so worked up?

1. Congratulations on kicking cancer in the face. Best of luck to you.

2. I'm trying very hard to have a similar outlook. I wasn't terribly successful at it on Saturday, but I do know that I for one need some perspective.

3. I love the 'Go for a hike' suggestion. Do you hike anywhere that's good? I hiked the Manistee River Trail this summer and it was fantastic.

So many good trails back in MI, especially up in that MR trail area. We are trying to take down the Pacific Crest Trail, (mile by mile, segment by segment) over the next decade. We did about 80 miles of it this summer; I will probably take a Saturday or two to do a some dayhike sections in southern Washington...
