Prepare Yourself For the Pac-12
Pac-10 Commissioner Larry Scott appeared with all the Pac-10 coaches plus Jake Locker and Andrew luck to announce that big changes are coming.
Say goodbye to the old Pac-10. The league has a new logo, a new more aggressive attitude and two new members scheduled to arrive in 2011. And when Colorado and Utah officially join, the conference will also have a new name.
The Pac-12 is on its way.
that's a badass logo. how long until Tennessee sues Lane Kiffen for stealing it?
I don't see why they would change it now, why not wait until 2011 when they will have to change it again?
will make the transfer easier on the eye? maybe?
that's the logo they want for the Pac-12...just with the 0 changed to a 2
...you have to realize that we are dealing with the Pac-10, not the Big-10.
Hot damn, Big 10 it's time to step your game up.
New schools
New logo
New attitude
Same east-coast bias
Do you mean west coast? Or are you implying you're from the east coast and you're biased?
I live in Oregon. We originally requested a pot leaf in the background. Hey thanks Larry.
The problem with that is that Ohio St. has that trademarked for their logo.
"We will be mathematically correct going forward," Scott said Monday at a news conference at a Manhattan hotel.from http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=5414966
How could they miss that one? Shame.
The video was aiight. They should've hired freakbass.
it's a mountain to represent Utah and Colorado because they have, well, mountains. if you look closely, the blue thing under it looks like a wave. ocean and all that. Or, I have a very active imagination... ;)
You're right, but it's funnier to look at it like a bird. Stupid PAC Bird 10...
or a Vagina...
(Just because, when will I get a chance again?)
Wow! Thinking about how awesome the new PAC12 is going to be just makes me want to go take a hap.
Why, exactly, do conferences go to all this trouble to design fancy logos? Are there people out there that buy merchandise with a conference logo on it? I'm not sure even Jim Delany would want to wear a t-shirt with the Big Ten logo on it for his interview sessions on the treadmill.
