Potential Deaf Fullback Recruit for Harbaugh?

Submitted by Dailysportseditor on

Tonight's ESPN broadcast of a high school game [California School for the Deaf, Fremont vs. Woodland Christian] mentioned Jim Harbaugh's potential interest in a 14-year-old deaf RB/LB named Calel Aramboles.  Aramboles had just scored his 2nd touchdown and had run for over 100 yards by the third quarter.  The commentators repeated the Harbaugh mantra about the deaf players "attacking practice with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind."

I'm sure the commentators were being facetious in their Harbaugh reference; however, Aramboles is already 5'10" and 250 and runs well while only 14 years old.

he won't be able to hear Sparty and Brutus cry when we crap all over them.

Fortunately he can still see and taste their sweet tears.

It seems signing would be very difficult in the huddle there has got to be a hundred ways to help him to understand the play. One obvious way would be to number the plays so he would know 15 was a peticular run play,12 was a peticular pass play and so on. 7 would mean Sparty sucks and must lose tomorrow.
