OT/Pointless: What's with the Manning Screen?

Submitted by STW P. Brabbs on

This will not be a very interesting thread, but this is driving me nuts.  During the Broncos game, CBS showed Manning (well, his legs, anyway) on the sideline, behind a large white screen that was being held by a couple of Colts sideline folk.  What the hell is he being screened from?  The Googles did not tell me the story behind this, so I leave it to you, MGoBoard.  I'm willing to get negged for this if it results in this mystery being solved.

Maybe I am mistaken, but I thought it was illegal to watch film during the game.  I'm not sure why Dan Fouts would say that.  That is why quarterbacks are often flipping through still images on the sideline.

Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

However I highly doubt it was too hot for this guy. Remember he grew up in New Orleans (a fact that led to many people disliking me when I said I hated this guy at Tulane) which is considerable warmer than Denver.

On that note, wooooooooooooooo Woodson

Personally, I'd kind of feel like a bitch to be one of the three guys on the team who is blessed with a sunscreen on the sideline.  The visual evoked images of Colts interns holding Forehead McAudible up on a sedan chair on the sideline.
