I don't want to go back to the old way of playing defense.  I want to see a tough defense that is quick and is able to make tackles in space.  Under Carr we didn't have that except for 97.  Yes I know the defense was very disappointing the past three years.  I really think RR could have had a better defense in 2011 considering the youth would have had more experience.  Now if RR was stubborn and required his DC to run a 3-3-5 no matter whether they knew how to, then that's another story. By the way I'm no troll.  I've been a Michigan fan since I was a kid.  I just want to see the football program be more inovated.  My hope was that hiring RR would resolve that.  It did, at least with the offense.
2 years 17 weeks ago	Remember the old "Bend Don't Break"?	Basically DB is bringing back Carr football.  Boring, no imagination, can't stop the fast skilled offenses, and the lack of innovation.
2 years 18 weeks ago	Does it matter?	8-4 and 9-3 seasons are coming back.  Oh yeah, and the usual disappointments of getting beat by teams we shouldn't.  Welcome back to "3 yards in a cloud of dust".  Again why does the Big Ten have problems winning BCS games?  Hmmm....

2 years 27 weeks ago	I agree with it everything you quoted	Even in the local high schools where I live concussions are not treated as serious as they should.  You know there's a problem when a high school AD and the sports trainers say, "Don't send your son to the doctor before having a trainer look at him". Great job coach Rod.  If I could I would personally comend you for your actions.  Now this is a Michigan Man!!!
2 years 28 weeks ago	The AD wasn't totally accurate	He said it wasn't very windy and then all of sudden there was a big gust of wind.  Even though it was very windy that day It's very possible that because of surrounding buildings it wasn't that windy; but at ground level.  Not hundreds of feet up in the air!!  The local news weather man said at the time of the incident the winds were sustained at 33MPH and the gusts were around 50MPH.  Even the manufacturer of the lift doesn't recommend using it in wind speeds over 22MPH. It's very sad this happened.  Didn't anybody have some thought that this kid shouldn't be on that lift at all?
2 years 33 weeks ago	Defer	I could be wrong but I don't think any team has scored on us on their first drive.  It seems like teams manage to adjust to our defense fairly quickly but it takes a couple drives before that happens.  Usually by the time the other team scores Michigan already has a two touchdown lead or more.  Then we get the ball to start the 2nd half, score again and be up by at least two or three touchdowns.

2 years 33 weeks ago	Play 2 QBs in Big Ten games??	Maybe Coach Rod has a few tricks up his sleeve for the Big Ten season?  How can you not figure out a way to get two QBs on the field at the same time?  Like coach has said, they're too talented to not play them. By the way, all 3 of our QBs would more than likely be starters on any team.  They're that good.  Let's hope someone doesn't decide to transfer.  This is really going to be tough on Coach Rod the next couple years.

2 years 35 weeks ago	I missed it. What did Kelly say?	"On Denard's 57 carries - "You coach your team, I'll coach mine." [Ed: sounds like a snap back at Brian Kelly. Doesn't seem like there's much love lost there.]" Why di RR say that?  Somebody please fill me in.
2 years 35 weeks ago	But look who Texas Southern played last week	Prairie View A&M and they lost!!!! I'm not too sure what that says.  If anything UConn should be blowing them out of the water.
2 years 36 weeks ago	Crist is a junior; found on ESPN.com	Still, I don't consider him a veteran player.  This is his first year being the first team QB and a new offense to boot.  I think the D-Line can cause a lot of problems for him and get in his head.  The D-Line has to put consistent pressure on him to give the CBs some help. Remember, ND is going through a very similar transition as we had two years ago.
2 years 36 weeks ago	"Not so fast my friend"	Honestly I think the ND team of 2009 would have a better chance of beating the 2010 Wolverines.  Their Pro-style offense would have cut-up the secondary with their two really good receivers.  Now they're down to one and have a new Spread Offense with a new coach.  Michigan practices every day against a Spread team; one that is MUCH FASTER than ND's version of the Spread.

2 years 36 weeks ago	They will soon join a bandwagon	and say RR is a great coach.  These people watch too much ESPN and read too many newspapers. I wasn't at the game but if I would have been and heard that I would have been very upset.  C'mon the guy has had enough.  All this crap has happened to him and somehow he still manages to coach at a high level bring us a QB that on his first start breaks a Michigan QB record.  Yeah...wen need new coach!!  NOT!!! Go Blue!!  RR has my 110% support!!!
2 years 37 weeks ago	I'll miss playing Swiss Wis and Penn State	Schedule does seem to favor Michigan but I'll miss playing Wisconsin and Penn State.  I really look forward to those two games every year.  I was really excited when Penn State joined the Big Ten and playing the big guys at Wisconsin is fun to watch. Guess I'll need to look forward to playing one of those two in the Big Ten Championship!  :)

At least those who have the luxury of having two or more QBs to win with!!!  RR knows exactly what he is doing.  And yes it would be great to see a play fake and a TD pass to Roundtree. Anyone else wish it was Saturday yet??  Man I can't wait!!!!!!!!
2 years 37 weeks ago	Good point.....I didn't think about this enough	If Michigan and OSU are undefeated when they play each other in regular season then The Game doesn't really mean anything like it used to.  Then there will be a huge debate if the teams split the two games; regardless of the fact that there is a Conference Championship Game.  Hmmm...Just something to think about.  Looks like I'm moving over with those that said same division and finale game.
2 years 37 weeks ago	Finale game was more important	I may be wrong but having The Game as the Finale is more important than having them in the same division.  I would rather it be this way than having them in the same division and not have them play in the Finale.

2 years 37 weeks ago	Not surprised	This is why I say Michigan will surprise a lot of people.  It amazes me when I watch ESPN Gameday and other "experts" talk about Michigan.  I come away thinking, "Are they talking about the same team I read about and research every day?"  They are soooo off on their projections.  That's ok; let's "fly under the radar" and show everyone who the real Michigan football team is!!

Really... is it?  Sometimes a defense doesn't play well as a team when there are 1 or 2 guys like BG they can rely on.  Now the defense has to play together and work together which is a good thing.  A very wise man once said when asked why his team wasn't playing as well as it should replied, "Too many Chiefs and not enough Indians". My gut tells me this defense will surprsie a lot of people; in a good way.
2 years 40 weeks ago	They're upset because Brian got word before they did	and it makes the media look bad if a blogger gets info before they do.  Brian doesn't post things based on poor sources and I would be surprised if he is wrong about this.
2 years 40 weeks ago	Alabama Fans really don't have a clue	I just read the Alabama comments on this.  Look I know I'm a huge Michigan fan and can sometimes be a little bias when comes to my Maize and Blue, but give me a break!!  They have no idea how loaded this team will be in 2012!!  I believe RR will still be coaching here and will have his best team ever going into the 2012 season.  Mark it down; a run for the National Title will be happening in 2012.
2 years 51 weeks ago	Why no big headlines for OSU violations??????!!!!!!!!!!!	So let me get this straight.  OSU can break NCAA rules all over the place and nothing comes out of it.  No headlines, ESPN garble, etc.  NOTHING!!  Yet Michigan commits minor violations, which provide no advantages, occur because of lazy idiots not doing their job and the result is that RR is lamb basted and made to look unethical.  WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP!!!  Calm down.... OK.  I just hope RR and the team can wipe the floor this season and show what a real eithical, honest, and hard working coach can accomplish.  I hope RR doesn't decide this Michigan job isn't worth the hassel and leave.  I know many out there would love that but I believe he is the future for this football program and EVERYBODY NEEDS TO LEAVE HIM ALONE AND LET HIM DO WHAT HE DOES BEST WHICH IS BEING A GREAT COACH, ON AND OFF THE FIELD, AND WINNING GAMES!!! Ok I'm done.  I said what I needed to.  Thank you.
