OTish: ND Tailgating
Well, I had better get this in since the OT stuff comes to a close at the end of the week. We are setting up a tailgate for the ND game. I have attached a parking map. We are going to be at White Field. They open at 8 am for the night game. We will have tents, music, bar, stereo system, cornhole tourney etc. If you want to join a group of die hard Michigan Alums and fans you are welcome. Granted the music is pretty loud and we do drink. Nobody gets crazy though. Just a lot of football and tailgating. We will likely meet up at local gas station and carrivan in and you can also meet up at White Field. Here's an email for those that are interested ([email protected]). http://ndsp.nd.edu/assets/138045/parking_map.pdf

a rented party bus. The ND parking info I have seen says there is an RV lot and a "bus lot", but I'm not sure if the Party Bus will be considered more like an RV or a full size bus.
Anyone have any thoughts/ expereince there?

ask him if we should move over to the Golf course? We're not tied to White Field yet. Thanks.

He's only ever parked in the lots (RA, specifically) with a parking pass requirement. They look expensive. My two cents are the golf course looks walkable, while the field requires a shuttle. Personally I'd rather walk.

I think we will opt for the golf course. It is closer and it will remind us of AAGO. Both lots open at 8 am too.

I've tailgated twice at ND (2006 & 2010) right on the road across from the stadium that Linebackers sits on. We had an absolute BLAST both times and the locals were friendly and knew their football. I would put Notre Dame at the top of my away game tailgating experiences in all ways.
The fact we won both games I went to made the post-game party prettty sweet too.

Then I will put a thread up the week of the game.

Had fun tailgating at ND 3 times, and all were different experiences. The first was a corporate tent on their athletic campus, the others were more family-oriented tailgates. ND folks are quite nice, and know how to tailgate for a game.
Looking forward to going there one last (?) time.
