#21 Utah down 9 to byu and # 14 Usc down 11 to Stanford. #15 Texas crushed by Arkansas today. it would be fun to be ranked next week - but still might be on outside looking in. I am for BYU and Stanford tonight though.

Also BYU up on Utah in the 3rd. Oregon beating Ohio St today makes the Pac look good. But on the flip side, we beat Washington, Arizona is getting pounded by Manball-playing San Diego State and if Utah lose to BYU it'd not be a pretty picture. Arizona St, tipped by many to win a lot of games this year, also in a close one vs UNLV in the 3rd. On the bright side, Oregon St looks to beat Hawaii soundly. Given how bad Oregon St has been that can't be taken for granted.

Manball? SDSU's run for 185 and thrown for 183.

If Brady Hoke is the coach, it's Manball no matter what they play. Dude is just a man and his teams play ball.

Fair enough.
I always figured "Manball" was a Dave Brandon registered trademark and was buried with him.

Definitely an interesting day for the PAC Ten. Colorado came very close to beating Texas Tech too.

I think you mean #5 Texas A&M, who actually didn't look very good all game.
September 12th, 2021 at 12:33 AM ^
Lots of former M coaches going at it in Tucson tonight, and so far it's Hoke 38, Fisch/Brown 7. Game's as lopsided as the score--yard differential is about 4:1, first downs are 16-5.

Wonder what that means for the quality of ND, took OT to beat FSU last week and barely won against Toledo today
September 12th, 2021 at 12:52 AM ^
If we're playing that game, Jacksonville St. lost to UAB 31-0 and UAB lost to Georgia 56-7.

It's still considered "impressive" when Notre Dame beats crumby teams for some reason. Look how highly ranked they were last year when they played 7 trainwreck teams before playing Clemson's backup quarterback. It was ridiculous.

Texas lost to Arkansas 40-21.

The Holy War looks good.

PAC12 looking bad, outside of Oregon.

And UCLA, now that Charbonnet has turned into Reggie Bush
September 12th, 2021 at 3:01 AM ^
Don't forget that UCLA beat LSU and Colorado gave Texas A&M all it could handle.
September 12th, 2021 at 11:14 PM ^
I did forget Colorado, but as usual I think the SEC after Alabama and Georgia isn't special. In fact, I think LSU is positively bad, and Hawaii is just Hawaii. So I think jury is still out on UCLA.

USC getting clobbered at home now. Recall that Stanford looked pretty damn bad against Kansas St in Week 1.
Honestly, the only reason I can see why Clay Helton is still the USC coach is that they don't have the money to buy him out or get a top level coach to replace him after all the payouts after the scandal involving that perverted campus doctor.
September 12th, 2021 at 1:41 AM ^
I don't know man, at this rate they might not let him get on the bus to go back across campus.
September 12th, 2021 at 8:49 AM ^
I know a major USC booster… trust me, there’s more than enough money there to buy out Helton.
September 12th, 2021 at 1:20 AM ^
Utah closing the gap on BYU. Looks to be a tight one to the end.
September 12th, 2021 at 1:36 AM ^
going to get ugly for Helton with that kind of loss...
Maybe Jackson gets swayed by tonight's results?
September 12th, 2021 at 1:37 AM ^
Oregon and UCLA is gonna be a game.
September 12th, 2021 at 1:43 AM ^
It’s nice seeing a 9-game winning streak in a rivalry game come to an end.
September 12th, 2021 at 1:54 AM ^
Clay Helton might want to avoid airports for a while
September 12th, 2021 at 2:12 AM ^
I kinda think SC trying to make the score look more respectable at the end of the game is even more embarrassing.

The horror of that J-ville St loss for Nole fans can't be overstated. That was really, really bad. JSU isn't a good FCS team at all--this is a nightmare for Norvell.
September 12th, 2021 at 9:41 AM ^
I don't doubt that it was a horror, but JSU was #8 in the country last season and has made the playoffs seven of the last eight years.

Just saw the ending to that FSU game. Wow. That was ridiculous.
