OT: Yahoo College Football Pick'em (UPDATED for FA)
Since Week 1 starts today, I was wondering if anyone was interested in joining a mgoblog group for weekly picks throughout the season. We did this last year for all the bowls, and that went over pretty well. If you're not interested, then disregard.
Group name: MgoBlog
Group ID#: 23538
Group Password richrod
** One more thing. Please use your Handle when creating the account. I think that's more interesting than randomness.

EDIT: To FA, I was going to institute the spread but then I thought the majority of MgoBloggers may not be familiar with what it is and would prefer a straight up method.
If you guys want me to change the group and create a spread system, let me know and I'll update accordingly. For now, I'll keep it the same.

Tonight's game? Whatever are you talking about?
So they got rid of picking against the spread to a straight pick'em. That's weird and much less interesting.

Agree, the spread option would be more interesting, as there are many lopsided matchups.

These aren't weighted are they?

Is this by spread or by flat out winner? Thanks.

Flat out winner. I just created a public on and it has the spread listed. Since this one doesn't, I'm assuming it's straight winner.

I think picking the spread adds a little more intrigue...especially for all of these lopsided games. (Besides, don't we all want to go head to head with jamiemac?)

I picked a lot of favorites this week.. I really don't like that.

You're commish, whatever you like, man. I find the spread more interesting, definitely limits the chalk, but if more people want straight picks, I'm playing either way.

I would also prefer the spread, but have already joined and will play either way. Also, just a suggestion, but you could make a second league that picks with the spread to go along with this one. I'd join that too and I think others would do the same.
