but I have to say...scheduling this for January 1st was the dumbest thing ever. January 1st is already THE BEST sports day of the year, and most people wouldn't leave their TVs to freeze in AA. I wouldn't go to the Super Bowl on January 1st even if you GAVE me tickets.

January 1 is a great sports day, but not if you are Canadian, or if you generally don't care about college football.
They have had the Winter Classic on January 1 for six years now, and it has never been an issue to sell tickets. I think you are looking at this from the perspective of a college sports fan, because the event is in a college sports stadium, but that's not their target audience for this game.

that it was hard to obtain tickets. I haven't looked on Stub Hub but I imagine it would be quite a bit.

The video I am looking at is 15 minutes long, starts out with no one on the field, and the first people come out at the 5:30 mark every time...

This kinda reminds me when they installed FieldTurf at Michigan Stadium. Can't wait to watch this game.

That's pretty cool. I have a ticket for myself and my brother. It's his Christmas present. It has been so hard not to break the news to him. Must wait until the 25th.
