Inside the Hyatt hotel in Monterey there is a sports bar called Knuckles. It's inside the Hyatt. It opened before 9am. They would serve drinks. They would let you order breakfast from the breakfast place in the hotel and then at 11am their bar menu opened up for biz. It was great. tHey had a ton of TVs (mostly high def). Also, we were joined by 6 other UM fans and a pair of PSU vs Indiana fans. They had all the B1G games on.

in Carmel, IN I lived there for three years and the UM Indy alumni club always meet at the Champps on 86th St. just east of Keystone. That might be technically in Indianapolis but believe me it's most likely no more than 15 min from where you'll be staying. If that doesn't work then The Brockway Pub on Old Meridian near W. Carmel Dr. is also a cool place to chill and catch a game albeit theres gonna be less M fans and less TVs but good grub.....would really recommend the fish and chips, spectacular

He's talking about California. But now I want fish and chips, with a good malt vinegar sprinkled on top...oh, and a Guinness.

Are you sure? Unless he is traveling from MI, in the air.

No, I guess I'm not sure. But Monterrey and Carmel, CA are right by each other so I just assumed. I've never heard of a Monterrey, IN.
To your point though, I can't be sure.

Also, "opening that early" would only be an issue for the pacific time zone, to me, as most bars serve lunch on the weekends.

What is BTN doing online these days? Can you buy one game at a time? Never tried it so don't know how good the quality is.

I have a slingbox but no laptop on this trip. I can watch on my phone but would rather watch a tv. Also my wife and I cramming around a phone isn't the most desirable.
Thanks to all for the tips.

If you can't lock something down, exploring Carmel and Monterey trying to find a place sounds like a fun assignment.
