OT: Vote Inge and Victorino for the All Star game!

Submitted by CipASonic on
Idon't think this should be considered a repost... As I'm sure most of you know, the Brandon Inge, 3B of the Detroit Tigers, is up for the final vote for the All Star Game. I just heard on 97.1 that we are doing reciprocity with Shane Victorino of the Phillies. Phillies fans will vote for Inge, and Tigers fans will vote for Victorino. It doesn't take any extra time to vote for Victorino. I checked the Inge thread and did not see anything about Victorino, so I don't think this is a repost. To vote, follow the link and click on the all star game final vote link at the top: http://mlb.mlb.com/index.jsp

but for some reason I thought there was some bad blood still. I just remember one of my roomates hating the Flyers. I don't know, I'm from Chicago, so my exposure to Detroit sports culture consists of the last 3 years while at school. Still trying to pick it up.

5 times today. I work at Mott's, and I get to see 1st hand what a good and generous guy he is. He does a lot of charity work for the kids and he's great with everyone.

Preach on, brother. Victorino's stats do not match up to Sandoval's in any marginal way. Sandoval bests Victorino in literally every statistical category except stolen bases. Also, Sandoval is 1000x more fun to watch. Also, also: he cures cancer with his MIND. If you vote for Victorino, you're voting for (at best) the fourth best player on that list.

Reynolds has a lot of homers and RBIs (24 and 62, respectively), but holy mother of God, 114 whiffs in only 309 ABs is just pathetic. I split my votes between Sandoval and Kemp. And obviously I voted for Inge.

even thou i dont think inge is that deserving, he has had an out of his mind first half but i bet he ends the yr batiing below .250 and at best just barely gets to 30 HR (which is good but not all star and i think cabrera is about 100x more deserving) ... but congrats to the tigers for trying to get him there any way possible

with what you said is that it's a hypothetical situation that you can't prove. While Inge may very well end the year at .250, you don't know that for sure. The all-star game is based on stats as of RIGHT NOW, not what they MIGHT be later on. Not saying he is or isn't deserving, just that your argument for why is pretty invalid.
