OT: Tigers Going for Sweep of A's

Submitted by MGoBender on

Sanchez gives up 3 hits to start the game, but escapes giving up only a run. Not a good start there.

Offensively, the first inning was trash, but then in the second we had three hard hit balls off of Anderson, so I'm not too worried yet as long as Sanchez settles in.

I'm really more worried about how quickly Sanchez will probably be out of this game if he keeps giving up hits and raising his count (though his pitch count isn't on a bad pace). If this goes to the bullpen early with the Tigers behind my confidence level tanks. I guess it does even when we're ahead.

Has anyone noticed that TBS/TNT's transition graphics use Comerica Park in the background?  Watch next time they go to/come back from commercials and do the sponsors.

Rather have the Tigers hitting hard balls straight to the defense than striking out all over the place. I think we'll start hitting as the game goes on. Sanchez looking better now too.

I like what the future holds for Avi Garcia, but i'd really like to see him drive the ball a little more. Not a single XBH since his time up for the minors.

Dear tigers batters,

Unless its a fastball down the middle do not swing. K ? Thx

Sincerely,

Yea....our patience is a joke right now. But, this ball club has seemed to struggle with soft throwers all year long. Were a free swinging team and sometimes this is the result.

Yea....the tiger batters look frustrated and have not adjusted to any of the soft stuff. This team has not adjusted to soft throwers all year long

Tigers' plate discipline has always been suspect, especially on the road for whatever reason. Certainly hurting tonight.

And screw their suddenly good defense. For real.

Seriously we should have more than three hits. Granted two were great d plays by the A's but still this offense has sucked tonight. Swinging at balls all night, playing right into the A's pitches.
