OT: For Those Traveling Be Safe and Smart and have a Wonderful holiday!

Submitted by WingsNWolverines on

Hey everybody I'd like to say I hope you, your friends family and loved ones have a wonderful and safe holiday tomorrow. Remember if you're driving and it's a great distance take your time and stay the speed limit. Nobody needs a death on a beautiful holiday like Thanksgiving. Eat lots of food and enjoy your day off! And as always don't drink and drive. I'm sure people are flying out tonight or have already made the trip there today or are leaving tomorrow. Be safe and happy Thanksgiving everybody! What's your plans for the holiday? I am seeing my sister and her family tomorrow. I can't believe my niece is 18 unreal lol. Are you going out of town to visit family or even out of state?

Having thanksgiving with my parents and family friends in San Diego. They all moved west from Michigan a few years ago but the family friends we are visiting are originally from Ohio and are Buckeyes. Great people but tomorrow will be WAR! BEAT OHIO

Going up to the family farm in the "up north" region of Michigan for the day, watching the Lions and eating up there, before coming back home.

A fun day of driving through our wonderful state.

I'm staying home this year, and two of three children are coming here.  As I drove home from work this afternoon, seeing the traffic build, and a four mile back-up due to an accident, it made me thankful I don't have to travel.

Has anyone been to Columbus before for The Game?  This is my first time attending it away and I'm not sure where the best place to park is, etc.  I've heard that no alcohol is allowed on any university lots.... where do visiting fans usually go?

Yeah I attended a game there once about 24 years ago.  A group of OSU bouncers got together and thugged it up on one of my fraternity brothers because God forbid he was singing the Victors at a bar.  A musclehead punched him in the face, and when he hit the floor another one kicked him in the head.  Naturally because some of us had grey matter between our ears we called the cops but they weren't too keen on helping Michigan fans against locals.  Good times in good ole Columbus.  Enjoy yourself.

Since my wife actually works later today, we're just taking the kids to the movies and then going out to lunch before she has to leave,so actual Thanksgiving will be pretty informal here anyway, but my wife does get a nice shift premium. Tomorrow, I'll make a small turkey dinner for my wife and I as well as the kids (the things they'll eat anyway), and then Saturday - due to availability of various extended family members - is the big dinner, and my wife volunteered us this year. I have made it quite clear that I will be glued to The Game but will attend to my cooking duties during the commercials.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Flew to Hawaii with my family on Monday. There were 30 or so Polynesian looking folks on the flight, all sporting notre dame gear. Turns out they had all been in south bend for senior day and were members of manti teo's family, and let me just say that he has a HUGE family. The couple of folks I talked to were really nice and very proud of the kid. So yeah, cool story...
