OT: Steiner Brothers Shoney's Commercial

Submitted by Eskimoan on

Seen this on the web today, kinda silly, but they are Alums (as far as I know). Searched the site and didn't see it posted. Weird commercial, but Scott's hard hat was pretty cool. Thought I would share.

So many questions....why was he riding in the shovel...and why did they guy jam him into the place...and why did he then care....and why was he hungry?

Yes, they are alumni - both wrestled at Michigan while I was there. Rick's son's went to the same high school as my son; they were on the same wrestling team. I met Rick and traded stories about our time in AA. He was a very quite guy at the wrestling tournaments.

All I can say is that this is remodeling in the way those of us who have older homes which we could remodel, but then the "I still need a place to sleep and eat" instinct always seems to take over. If nothing else, this is a Shoney's and if they give you permission to destroy...well....who would refuse?

That commercial was terrible.

After we beat OSU in 2003, I rushed the field and bumped into Big Papa Pump near the tunnel.  I snapped a pic on my Sanyo shit phone, which I wish I still had.  Cool story bro.

While that commercial could doubtless become the basis for a phd dissertation deconstructing its muddling nature, must admit that I have a soft spot for those guys.

Love the construction hat, and who wouldn't want to ride in the bucket of a front end loader?
