OT: Saturday sports betting

Submitted by BeatOSU52 on

Haven't had a betting thread since week 1 if I'm not mistaken.  Thought I'd throw one out there to get MGoGamblers discussion in before tomorrow morning's College Gameday festivities start:  Anyone got any action yet on the games tomorrow or somethin that stands out to them they like?  I got 6 games on the slate I got action on.

Purdue at Rutgers - over 47 points

Syracuse (away) +17 at Miami Fl

Ohio (home) -18 verses Kent St

Southern Miss (away) +3 (-120) verses La Tech

Florida Atlantic (home) -3.5 verses North Texas

Washington St (home) -10 verses Colorado

Usuaully like to through in a a EPL game to start my morning but think I'll pass tomorrow with no real big matches

Fyi, Michigan game still is sitting at +9.5 with little line movement these past few days.  Sure seems.tempting ... betting Michigan to win straight up would pay just under 3-1 odds on offshore.    I hate saying this but I kind of like Sparty at -7 at home verses IU, but just not going to bet it.

half a teaser riding on Sparty.  I took the Titans on Monday Night and have Michigan State -1 tomorrow.  I also have USC +10 and Wisky -18.

I'm also on Ohio, and I have a lean towards Miami.  I know this is terrible thinking, but Cuse just beat Clemson, and Miami has stunningly won there last 2...so why/how the hell is the line at 17.5?  Someone knows something.

My thought is Syracuse has not looked great away from home, and people may think they are out of steam after last week.
I put money on the Syracuse moneyline just before half last week in a online live betting. Incidentally, I took the moneyline for GT last week pregame and looked pretty good until the end. That said, I will not be betting the moneyline on this game. However the +17.5 looks tasty and will be what I bet if I do bet this game.
I am not feeling sparty this weekend. Indy can throw and has a vertical passing game. I am not confident enough in Indy to bet them. But, don't want to bet against them this week either. Although, I never bet sparty to cover, feels dirty. But have for OSU, which seems less dirty somehow.
USC +10 seems like a good bet. Can't remember who Wisconsin is playing but I think its maryland.if so -18 looks good, they should wear them down with their 3rd string qb in.

I don't bet anymore but I still like to look at the bet sheets. On a super teaser I'd take Michigan +18, Maryland + 33.5, Notre Dame -2.5, and Tennessee +35.

I no longer like to bet on my team, especially when they're the favorites. But in this case, with the M defense, and coaching, and +9.5?  Best opportunity I've seen all year for M!

I have USC +4 (got in early) parlayed with the Titans money line. Bet $25 to win $42. It's my last bet of the season if I lose. I got killed last week in the pros and blew my roll. FML. Hopefully this gets me in the black again.

Really like your picks. Going to throw out your southern miss and Florida Atlantic games and turn it into a parlay

So I bet pretty much exclusively based on S&P+, even when it goes against my gut (it said bet Rutgers last week and it worked).  Top confidence bets for this weekend:

  • Southern Miss +3 vs. Louisiana Tech
  • Idaho +14.5 vs. Missouri
  • Oregon +6.5 vs. UCLA
  • Tennessee +36 vs. Alabama
  • Virginia -5 vs. Boston College
  • SMU -7.5 vs. Cincinnati
  • Iowa State +7.5 vs Texas Tech
  • UTSA -20 vs. Rice
  • Oklahoma State -7 vs. Texas
  • Louisville +7 vs. Florida State

Also one that the numbers are favorable for + gut feel...

  • Iowa +1.5 vs. Northwestern
