OT: RIP Jared Lorenzen
The former UK and NYG QB passed away today after battling heart and kidney issues at the age of 38. He also battled obesity for many years.

Sad to hear it. It was always fun to watch this guy but he clearly had weight issues. 38 is a tragic age to pass away.
Addiction kills. I don't care if its drugs, alcohol or food. Dude was certainly a food addict and never go the help he needed. That breaks my heart. Prayers for his family and friends.
RIP to the "Hefty Lefty". He sure was fun to watch when he was at Kentucky. By all accounts he was a good dude too.
He was super athletic for his size. He can scoot
Sad news. Obviously he always had weight issues, but it sounds like it spiraled out of control. Over 500 lbs?
I think he was 280 when he was competing. That's the weight they were willing to admit. The Round Mound of Touchdown was a big guy.
Seriously? Holy crap!!! I know a lot of players let themselves go when they're done, but 500# seems too much...
RIP, JL.
Super sad. Prayers to his family. This guy was a marvel. Athletes come in all shapes and sizes.
Dead at 38... I'm the same age... FUCK!
Hope you're under 5 bills, bro.
This dude was seriously underrated. Loved watching him when got some playing time on the Giants. I always thought he was great. Poor dude, RIP.
Underrated? I always rooted for the guy as he was a fun, unique story in the CFB world but I’d say he made the most out of his physical abilities while obviously dealing with some serious health issues.
I do believe he set quite a few QB records for UK though.
Reading some of the facebook responses to his passing is kinda sad. Most talking about his weight, the guy was a DI QB and a better QB than 99.99999 % of the people that walked on this planet
RIP
Sadly that's the world we live in. No face, no consequence, posters.
mgoblog comments are the only comments i'm willing to read on the internet. it's a bat shit crazy world out there on the twitterz and facebook.
So weird, I just learned who he was yesterday in a book. Sad story. Those issues aren't ready to overcome.
A real good guy. RIP Jared a/k/a The Hefty Lefty and The Pilsbury Throwboy
R.I.P Pillsbury Throw boy. Always wondered what might have been if he was ever "healthy".
Sad day.
Sad day in Ft Thomas Ky. My nephew played with Jared, and now coaches at Highlands HS. He's a LEGEND down there.
There was a nice piece on him recently on College Gameday, one of the week’s Michigan was featured (maybe penn state 2017). But he seemed like a great guy. God bless him (and everyone else for that matter).
There was a very interesting documentary on him I watched in the last couple of years. It might have been a football life show, but was definitely on ESPN. It is worth the watch.
