Yep. Been to almost all other B1G locales for M road games and my favorite place, by far, is Iowa City.  The bar scene is great and is only surpassed by the nicest, drunkest, party animalist fanbase I've experienced.  And, the coeds are good looking, some with loose morals.  I know from experience...

I just watched Billy Madison yesterday for about half an hour, and this scene was in there.   Chris Farley is the man.  It's a very underrated comedy.  I was really surprised that comcast only gave it 1*.  It's at least 2.5* in my book.

USA Today ran with this and went into detail about Iowa's ranking (HERE).

"Packed Iowa City bars blaring dance music, off-campus house parties and tailgating before Hawkeye football games are as much a part of Iowa's culture as the cornfields that surround the city. Fraternities and sororities also contribute to the party atmosphere. But the No. 1 spot seems out of step with national data released this year showing fewer Hawkeyes are drinking and engaging in high-risk drinking. The percentage of Iowa students who reported drinking in the last 30 days (75 percent) was the lowest in 20 years of studies, even if it was above the national average."

Of course, they also talk about recent changes to local law which have tried to curtail the party scene in Iowa City, including raising the legal age to enter bars and a few awareness programs instituted by the university.

Still, I would have thought that Morgantown set the bar fairly high with bonfires in the street while wearing shirts that read "West F***ing Virginia".

These lists always make me laugh  I would say I would like to find out the formula they use to determine the rankings, but it's probably not worth the time

By playing baseball I got to spend a few days or more in every BIG city except NE/Rutgers/Maryland because they weren't in the Big Ten. No doubt in my mind IA was the best party. We had about 5 guys arrested there in the offseason and during we always got drunk there.
