OT - Pitbull doesn’t want to go to South Bend either

I know there has been some Pitbull love on the podcast before, but it seems that he has done something else to engender love from Michigan fans: he straight up didn’t show up for a concert in South Bend.

SOUTH BEND — The audience’s anticipatory chants of “Pitbull, Pitbull” quickly turned to angry boos as South Bend Cubs owner Andrew Berlin took the stage to announce that the hip-hop star would not perform Sunday night at Four Winds Field.

Apparently, one of the Ying-Yang Twins didn’t show up either, but he might have had a better excuse due to a death in the family.

I used to work for IBM and Pitbull was supposed to perform at one of our conferences. He no-showed. But it was cool cause I went to a nightclub with a bunch of old dudes from India and had a blast.

Side note, stumbled into a Bollywood Night last weekend at a random bar, they get down.

He didn’t show up cause I guess of bad weather on in Florida.

I know cause I live right by SB and the local news there have talked about it a lot of times.

Is there a reason Stanford claims Palo Alto and Notre Dame claims South Bend their homes?

Alright.  We've had our fun.  Having grown up there, it's a fine place.  And now I know the people running most of the good bars.

A number of us chose to leave...some of us go to Ann Arbor for a superior education.  It's still home.

Need a tip when you go there, happy to oblige, as I'm sure BlueinSB is too.  Hate on ND all you like (and, btw, locals don't sit on the fence - all out love or despise - and ND has torn down many of the houses that my friends grew up in).  That said, the true, blue collar locals deserve some love (and you'd be surprised how many scream "Go Blue" just like us).

Have to disagree.  Spent some time in South Bend while on sales calls, and in a later life at some of my employer's retail locations.  SB is a shithole top to bottom.  As a matter of fact, I was taken aback by how ghetto it was.  I didn't realize it was that bad until I got there.  It's worse than Gary, and (*gulp*) ND's campus is the only nice looking area.

Ha, that's quite the gutsy reply.  Mi93 is like, "ok guys, everyone has got their jokes in but I grew up there and it really isn't that bad" and you followup with, "No, it is that bad. I went there on some business trips and every. single. thing. about that town sucks, including your house, your neighborhood, and your family".

Savage.
