Can't say... 'Can't Wait!' but looking forward to seeing them.  Live in CA and didn't buy NBA package this year.

Don’t understand tanking at all. It’s not guaranteed to lead you to a title, and you have to hit on the picks which most teams don’t do. Glad they’re trying to win, even though they’re probably getting swept by Milwaukee. It’s also only the 2nd time in 10 years they’ve been in the postseason.

I get why tanking is espoused though - here you have another year where a team plays just barely good enough to be the #8 seed, will more than likely get eviscerated in the first round of the playoffs, and then in the case of the Pistons, you draft in the middle of the 1st round AGAIN, which makes your chances of utilizing the draft effectively far smaller as a means to better your franchise. I would much rather pick in the first 3-4 personally, especially in the NBA Draft.

People keep saying you have to build through high draft picks, yet the #1 seed in the East has picked in the top 10 exactly three over the past decade (and two of those times #10), and is Thon Maker the best of the bunch, and he was so expendable they traded him to the Pistons?  Parker and Jimmer flamed out almost immediately.  By comparison, Giannis, Brogdon, and D.J. Wilson were guys picked later on who help make up the core of this team along with some good signings and trades.

Yes, you probably can't live as the #8 seed forever.  But actually giving a shit about winning means something to a lot of guys, and for a team that has made the playoffs now twice in a decade, trying to be a consistent playoff team feels like a much more feasible interim goal than assuming you'll just draft a couple of studs and become a perpetual winner.  And this may be more anecdotal than not, but if you are a a decent team that has a rough year due to injuries or whatnot, it feels like those teams tend to bounce back with a good draft pick (because they know what they're missing).

Tanking is stupid if you're a playoff caliber team. How many teams have successfully tanked in history? The Cavs got lucky LeBron entered the nba when they sucked .The Sixers have had moderate success after 6 years of being terrible and still needed to either sign or trade for multiple players (Butler, reddick, Tobias Harris) before they were contenders.

Yeah it really is an overall idiotic, especially if you consider the broken rhythm of a team trying to play their worst at the end of the season; there's no switch to hit next year when you have your "generational" talent in the line up next year but no one knows how to win a meaningful game in February or April.

It's been interesting seeing the development of Luke Kennard under Dwane Casey this year. Won't be a superstar, but looks to be a solid performer for years to come in the NBA. Go Pistons!

Was their struggles my fault? They fought their way to the sixth spot, I buy an Andre tee, then they almost blow it. Hopefully Blake is healthy; if so, we could win a game or two

fortunately their late season swoon got them the preferred match-up with the bucks.  a bold strategy....

Both of the teams I root for are 8 seeds. I like watching playoff basketball. This year I’ll even have two rooting interests.

I watched Ralph Lawler call his final regular season game for the Clippers last night. They reunited him with his long-time partner, Bill Walton. It was surreal. Every now and then they remembered there was a game going on.

Two years is long? Guess you weren't around in the 70s, eh?

Go for it Stones, there would be no greater time for Dee...troit...basketball to "retire a moldy old dynasty" .......just like they did to the Celtics, than the Lakers TWICE!

Certainly has been a "golden state" for the Pistons in the finals, maybe they can stop another.

Too be honest they showed something in the last two games that will make it difficult for Milwaukee to defend; steal one round in the east and that may be enough to clear a path teams not that much better than they are, and once you get to the finals anything can happen.
