as a lions fan I would love it if the Packers lost - but I don't think that is gonna happen Chicago would be in a better position if the Sex Cannon was QBing this game - not a good debut for Cutler - but amazingly as bad as he has been his team is only down a score.

Well, a TD with a 2-pt. conversion, but still. And in Cutler's defense, his receivers are not helping either. They have a serious case of the dropsies (as has Donald Driver, FWIW). Green Bay's offense really needs to step it up, the defense has carried the game for us thus far.

Packers fan here. Agreed that our offense has been very 'meh' so far. Rodgers has been off with the deep ball and the OL has been pretty terrible. On the other hand, aside from that bomb on Woodson the defense has played well enough given how godawful Cutler has been.

Woodson definitely isn't as fast as he used to be ... but he's been getting in Cutler's face otherwise, so I'm not going to get on his case.

He's adding awesome insight. I don't care how much you may like other color guys, but info like Rodgers calling out assignments, blitz pick ups.... This is what analysis should be, not "Teams that turn the ball over less tend to win games."

Not that I want to continue my anti-NFL rant that stinkbombed the board a few hours ago, but apparently the Packers got hit for a free first down because a DB touched a receiver 6 yards beyond the line of scrimmage. (The NFL rule is 5 yards.) Are we playing flag football? Doesn't "illegal contact" sound like a line from a Bud Light commercial about fouls while picking up chicks at a bar? "Oooh, he goes for the hand around her waist, that's illegal contact!"

Disregarding the fact that the illegal contact rule should never be enforced at six yards, he wasn't even six yards beyond the line. He was five, and thus completely legal. Simply terrible.
