Check your email. Slight PC problem I need to clear up with you.
Back to topic at hand though, Mizzou at 25pts. Gambling Mizzou -3, Over 49.5!

Replied

BOOOO. I wanted the threads separated! I know you were behind this FA!!!
31 confidence points on Mizzou. If anyone thinks Iowa is going to win, well you are just high man.
December 28th, 2010 at 9:45 PM ^
He was first. I really want nothing to do with Brett Favre related threads.
December 28th, 2010 at 9:49 PM ^
Fair enough. I still hurt inside though.
December 28th, 2010 at 9:51 PM ^
Should have been deleted. For Favre alone.
I keed! Missed it by that much.
As for this game, starting at even, and all the player problems that have come for Iowa since, I don't get Vegas's take on this one at all. But we shall see.
December 28th, 2010 at 9:48 PM ^
That's odd, two national broadcasters brought up Harbaugh, but there was no mention of Michigan... very telling....
December 28th, 2010 at 9:51 PM ^
Your comment just created two future CC threads.
December 28th, 2010 at 9:57 PM ^
Conservative estimate.
Another over/under for you to ponder....
23...times Matt Millen pisses us off.
December 28th, 2010 at 10:09 PM ^
Not the over?
December 28th, 2010 at 9:49 PM ^
The two games should each have their own open thread.
The purpose of the open thread is so that there aren't numerous topics discussing the same game.
Expecting people to filter all their comments for two games (one pro and one college none the less) in one thread is absurd.
I know that you were excited to be the one to create the open thread but use your noggin..........
December 28th, 2010 at 9:52 PM ^
Is it really all that much different than the Open NFL thread which focuses on 10 games per Sunday? Or the Afternoon NCAA football threads
December 28th, 2010 at 10:03 PM ^
It's quite a bit different. It's not 10 games. It's 2, meaning just two threads. Also, we're talking about a pro game and a college game. A person who is interested in a bowl game is not necessarily interested in a Tuesday night NFL game, and vice versa.
And my apologies to the OP for the snarky comment. I didn't realize that FA combined the threads. With that said, the fact that a mod decided to combine the threads doesn't change the fact that it is silly.

This is what I was really respond to. If people are expected to filter comments for ten games on Sunday, I wouldn't think two would be a big deal. Either way, neither of our opinions matter. FA said that one thread was the way to go, so that's that.
December 28th, 2010 at 10:16 PM ^
When there are only 3 football games of any variety on, I don't see any harm in having three separate threads.
As noted, the decisions has been made and, even though my evening is abolutely turned upside down because of it, I'll move on.
December 28th, 2010 at 9:53 PM ^
See above.
December 28th, 2010 at 9:54 PM ^
Quite possibly the greatest Auto-correct I've ever seen.
December 28th, 2010 at 10:10 PM ^
That's the hardest laugh I've had in days. That's awesome. Even if I could edit it I wouldn't.
December 28th, 2010 at 9:54 PM ^
Joe Tiller, I am not.
December 28th, 2010 at 10:12 PM ^
Nice to hear. Just checking.
December 28th, 2010 at 9:52 PM ^
I wonder what Stanzi's take is on all the pot smoking hippies?
December 28th, 2010 at 11:05 PM ^
Pot smoking slows down the brain, and when the brain is slow, thinking about the U.S. of A. is slow...which is unacceptable.
December 28th, 2010 at 9:53 PM ^
A win for Iowa would be great for the Big 10, but they seemed to give up near the end of the season. Hopefully there's addition by subtraction.
December 28th, 2010 at 10:06 PM ^
This may be a silly question, but I have always wondered this since I played. Why if a OL flinches he gets flagged for a false start, but I see linemen moving all around when an audible is called?
December 28th, 2010 at 10:08 PM ^
I believe, until they get into a 3 point stance, they aren't truly set. I'm sure there's something more specific to it.
December 28th, 2010 at 10:09 PM ^
That's what I thought, but the Iowa TD play they were all in 3 point stances. Maybe the intent of the movement?
December 28th, 2010 at 10:16 PM ^
which tends to be locked into a 3 point stance with head up (for non-centers). saw a center this sunday get called for false start by looking up, putting his head down to snap, and then pulling his head back again.

Iowa TD! Bong hits all around...........
December 28th, 2010 at 10:10 PM ^
Hit and pass dude. Don't Bogart that bong.
December 28th, 2010 at 10:13 PM ^
it's cashed.
By the way is there more than one Matt Millen? This dude is EVERYWHERE!
December 28th, 2010 at 10:16 PM ^
If so, then a cruel joke was played on us. Either scientists thought it would be funny to clone the dumbest man commentating or we have all died and this is actually hell.
December 28th, 2010 at 11:36 PM ^
Millen was on for literally an hour straight after the Monday night game and to have him on again tonight was just complete overload. Do the people at ESPN think this man has some fantastic insight into the game?
Although I love how Steve Young always disagrees with him.
December 29th, 2010 at 12:28 AM ^
They probably get him for pretty cheap.
Steve Young > Matt Millen. By far.
December 28th, 2010 at 10:10 PM ^
Good to see that Millen is still dealing in cliches. I just heard him say "Iowa is a physical team. They'll be physical the moment they step off the bus."
Thousands of Big Ten fans just experienced a redirection in blood flow.
December 28th, 2010 at 10:13 PM ^
Iowa looks sharper than they have since maybe MSU
December 28th, 2010 at 10:15 PM ^
2 deep man, even when Mizzou is 5-wide. It'll be interesting to see if Mizzou can consistently take advantage of it. Forcier and Stonum certainly did in the second half of the Michigan-Iowa game.
December 28th, 2010 at 10:19 PM ^
they don't blitz much, they play that 2-deep, 4-down linemen. I can't tell if they are subbing DBs for LBs to counter the spread. They are leaving the box empty on a lot of plays.
December 28th, 2010 at 10:16 PM ^
What a spot.
December 28th, 2010 at 10:17 PM ^
are fast tonight.
December 28th, 2010 at 10:18 PM ^
On teams having the same colors in bowl games? In the long shots it feels like ND-Navy.
December 28th, 2010 at 11:08 PM ^
What, no HDTV? The colors are the same, sure, but the helmets and pants vastly different.
December 28th, 2010 at 10:21 PM ^
Gabbert, arm wise, could probably hang with Mallett and Luck
December 28th, 2010 at 10:21 PM ^
Go for it!
December 28th, 2010 at 10:22 PM ^
But then, I'm not Pinkel.
December 28th, 2010 at 10:26 PM ^
If Minny DB's had stickum they would have 4 Ints. Vick seems too loose out there.
Edit: way too early to write off The Vick.
