OT: NFL Early Games Open Thread

I think that may have been the worst attempted punt return I've seen. Ever.

I don't know what the Lions see in Jeremy Ross. His only return touchdown came in a game where there was so much snow no one could tackle him. Now he makes that boneheaded play.

Pack it in. Season over. Why even keep playing? Same old lions.

Just getting all of the whiner overreacting Lions fan comments in.

Clausen > Stafford

Why not be the 5th-6th seed. This team is so frustrating. I think they pull this out but no way we beat GB in Lambeau. We'll get bounced by the Saints in the wild card lol

Lions are blowing every facet of this game. Stafford, stupid penalties, the muffed punt-- just awful. Look like old Lions.

The Lions as a team were, are and seemingly forever will be a mind-numbingly stupid football team that makes stupid decisions and finds way to lose when any other team would win.

We have seen this before

You have to throw out that old saying that goes "now I've seen it all" Looks like we have a game on our hands in the second half. They should not have let Chi QB gain any confidence.

3 turnovers all leading to missed points for the lions and easy points for the Bears... And they're tied. Clean it up after half and the lions win easy

When the Lions win 28-10 will everyone be back on the kool-aid? They play 4 quarters and the Bears have been given 3 gifts. The Lions will pull away because they are the better team.

The Packers should start Flynn next week to guarantee a victory. Clausen hasn't started a game in 4 years. Yikes

Johnny Football out of the game vs. the Panthers. His return is questionable

5th San given up in one half? Even missing Waddle, how did we regress so much at OL? Stafford isn't helping but wow, he's getting no time and then he's stepping right into the pressure. Jimmah is getting all day back there. Still think we pull this off but I don't see this team winning a playoff game. Not even against any South team.

two years later.

This team looks like that one,but the offense was better and the defense wasn't quite as good.  Undisciplined, turnover prone, stupid mistakes abound..Jim Caldwell hasn't done much to change the culture. It's the same team as they have been. This is still a Schwartz team.

The Lions are are solid team, but nothing more. They are too lacking in discipline to be anything more then what they are--a pretender.

People who call us whiners  either aren't watching the games or are purposefully ignoring the years of similiar play before this season. The Lions looks almost exactly like they did under Schwartz. The difference is more of the breaks are going their way than they did last year.

Joe Lombardi and the Lions offensive staff is among the worst in the NFL. What they managed to do with this offense is a sight to look away from.

 

Stafford is putrid.

Just seeing that Fitz got (what seems to be) his 1st NFL carry!!   It only went for 2 yards though, Poor Damn Toussaint.    Any particular reason he's finally getting a shot? injury? Saving other players for the playoffs?

I keep asking myself why am I upset?  People can't help it they're born stupid - they didn't ask to be stupid - they just are.

It's just when they're exceptionally stupid (and athletic) they become Lions.
