He'll really regret having "been himself" one day, when he realizes all those years of celibacy were for naught.

"Hopefully the coaching staffs and the owners and general managers will just like me." A fine recipe for failure. I say, this one just might make something of himself yet, if he ever catches up with reality.

I agree with the article; TE or H-back will be his best position in the NFL. To me, the only question is whether Jax caves into local pressure and drafts him to play QB.

I agree that he will not be a QB in the NFL, and whether he comes to grips with that will determine if he has any sort of extended career at the next level. However... He is a top notch athlete with a very high ceiling at other positions (i.e., H-back, TE, or FB). Tebow has maintained a lower than ideal playing weight for his frame so he can continue playing QB. He was forced by Meyer to lose weight after he spent his entire Freshman year in the weight room lifting with the linemen. Couple that with an obviously high work ethic and leadership skills and the kid will succeed somewhere at some position. Yes he will have to learn a new position, but what from his four years in college would make you think he isn't up for the challenge? I get annoyed with constant media coverage and fawning over his faith and "intangibles" too, but bottom line he is a freakin' player with all the physical tools to succeed at the next level. He just needs to give up this little QB pipe-dream before making that happen...

We all know Brady was drafted in the 6th round, and has had great success. His foot speed and some of the raw skills don't seem to be great, but his intangibles and knowledge of his receivers and the game have been more than sufficient for Brady. Tebow may well not make it as a QB, but if that's what his heart is set on, he has to at least try. If he doesn't make it, at least he knows, because he tried. If he never attempts to play QB, he might regret it the rest of his life. I firmly believe you're better off trying, and failing, than just listening to your critics and never giving it a shot. Shoot, we even have an example on our current team in Denard Robinson. Better for him to attempt to QB than not. If it just doesn't work out, well, DR can switch to a Harvin type role, or become an RB.

Most of the problems Tebow has as a QB come down to mechanics, which he was not taught properly at Florida. If he can get drafted by a team that's patient enough to teach hm proper mechanics I think he can be successful as a QB, IF he is able to learn and apply those lessons. The guy definitely has football smarts and a desire to succeed, so if the QB thing doesn't work out I can see him switching positions and having success there as well.
