Free aint good enough. If the NBA offered me a six figure salary with full benefits for my family, then I would watch. I don't need to be sold anymore Haynes underwear, Big Mac's or Sprite. I don't need to watch eight guys stand around and one guy dribble in place until he tries to dunk it, followed by flexing/scowling. Not to mention, I think the WWE has less in the way of pre-determined outcomes.

The NBA is the best basketball in the world, and there isn't a close second. The reason why you see more isolation in the League than in college is that the NBA actually has an abundance of players who can create their own high-percentage shots (against on the whole much, much better defenses). If the processes by which these shots get created (and it's definitely not all iso's) disgusts you so much, you really might just need to find a different sport.
As far as refereeing goes, and notwithstanding Donaghy, the Lakers-Kings series, etc., I'll take pro refs over college refs 7 days a week, twice a night on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Seriously, have you seen Ed Hightower?

although you are correct that Ed Hightower is a sad sack. I agree that the NBA has the best basketball PLAYERS in the world, but I would disagree that it has the best basketball.

Ed Hightower's mediocrity is the ultimate uniter.

Yay! Another NBA fan, and one who actually is sane and believes that NBA basketball is far superior to college basketball.
I don't want to get into why the NBA is clearly superior in nearly every single way because I could talk about this subject for hours (I definitely have before), but I seriously can't watch college basketball outside of U of M (and even then I struggle at times) unless there is a Durant/Wall/Rose type of elite player.
I almost get physically ill when watching college basketball. The players are so bad, the coaches are overrated, it has less purity than the NBA, no one can dribble or create their own shot, and most of them just don't know how to play basketball. It's ugly.
Then you watch the NBA and it's like visual poetry. Everyone knows where to move, what to do with the ball. The coaches sit on the sideline and let the players actually play the game.
*Sigh*

NBA League Pass shifts to a generic "NBA League Pass" screen with scores and updates on games around the league during commercial breaks. If anything you would be grateful given your outrage on all things American, erm Michael Jordan, erm... commercial.
