The Onion having a bit of fun at Quinn's expense:

Short, but sweet nonetheless.

Haha just shared that on Facebook. I have an extra ounce of hate for Brady Quinn as a Broncos fan. Imagine having your favorite team not only trade up in the 1st (!) round to pick Tim Tebow but following that up with signing Brady Quinn in the off season to provide competition for him. Dammit I hate Brian Xanders.
I hated Tebow when he was at Florida. And I hate all the off the field Tebow stuff. But, for some odd reason I am curious to see what he can do in the NFL..
Edit: Never saw anything in Quinn. Thought it was funny when he had to sit and wait to be drafted.
He was a hell of a college football player and an even better person....just sayin.
Although I've never met the guy, I bet he's a good person too. All of the stuff on how great Tebow is just became too much after hearing it for 3 years. I developed a similar distaste for Brett Favre after his Packers/am I retiring am I not phase.
I don't think that many people hated Tebow the person. They just hated the over the top hype he got. Yes, he was an excellent player. But when he got injured against Kentucky, all of the breaking news headlines that flashed every 10 seconds on ESPN was a joke. You would have thought the president had just been shot. By his senior year, in the media's eyes, there was really nothing left that Tebow COULDN'T do. Walk on water, cure cancer, you name it. He was even featured in a Super Bowl commercial. It just became too much.
But I guess it could have been worse. If he had played at Notre Dame, all that insane hype would have been doubled.
Yeah I hated him then and still now, mostly because ESPN, I think. It's one thing to cover a good player, but it starts to turn into something horrible when you dedicate a part of your website to him. ESPN's Tebow Tracker really crossed the line between sports coverage and over the top obsession.

Brady Quinn ruined the first name "Brady" for us when deciding what to name our first-born son. "Brady" was on the table (after Tom Brady, of course) until I thought about Brady Quinn and realized that he ruined the name. A--hole.
Or Lloyd Brady.
Never understood the Quinn hate - yeah the guy seems a little arrogant, but so are most football players. His biggest problem was that he looked way better than he played, and he had Charlie Tuna as his HC and could never live up to the hype.
I've had many friends meet him and no one came away with a good impression. On the other hand, I've had friends meet Brady Quinn and most of them came away with good impressions.
I get to watch the Cam vs Jimmah this Saturday in Charlotte. Should be interesting!
You mean the guy who promised 4 heismans and 4 national championships only to come nowhere near 1 of those things isn't a good guy?
Brady Quinn is a big baby. Thats a guy that got highly hyped up and publicized and never amounted to shit except for commercials for subway. He sucked at that too.
also do those EAS commercials? Let's give the man a little more credit *sarcasm*
I'll bet neither Tebow or Quinn will be doing many commercials in Denver. And congratulations on exceeding 100, FreeFab!!
Prescott Burgess went into Beast Mode in that game.
Awesome...Putting this to Benny Hill was Genius! Thanks!
Is it Tebow's fault the media loves him? It's not really comparable to the Favre situation. Favre is a media whore who sought the attention.
