OT: Johnny Manziel released by the Browns

Submitted by The Mad Hatter on

In a move that surprised absolutely no one, the Cleveland Browns have waived Johnny Manziel.

In a statement given to the press Mr. Manziel reportedly said that he'll be enjoying this off-season by drinking as much champagne as possible and snorting cocaine off of every flat surface and naked body he comes into contact with.

"I figure I can party it up pretty hard before I have to hit rehab, again, before the start of next season"

Cant decide on which "Manziel memory" I'll cherish most.  There are many to choose from as a Browns fan:

Money Phone

Inflatable Swan

Christmas Eve Cigars

Honest coach I'll behave during the bye week....TRUST ME

And my personal favorite (but never filmed) BILLY!!!!

ill will upon people.  Especially not in sports.  But I want him to suffer, poor broke and lonely for the rest of his life.  Maybe its the spoiled rich kid angle. Maybe its because Ive been hurt by addicts in the past. Maybe its his punchable face...I hope he lives a long life, well into his 70s...and I hope the entire time he has to scrounge for substandard wages, feeling the pain most Americans feel each and every day, just trying to scrape out enough of an existence to pay the freaking kids orthodontist bill so they can finally get the danged things removed.  If theres one person in the world who deserves no good fortune at all, its this guy.

however he has his head in the clouds when it comes to life.  Right now he is a drunk.  He will find out soon enough what it takes to make a living.  I am sure he will blow through his football money quickley enough.  He did get a 4 million signing bonus plus his salary.  But he can't make that last the rest of his life.  He will need a job at some point.  And even if he gets through a rehab at some point, what football team would even give him a tryout?   He's not a NFL QB.  He can run but his arm isn't all that great. Maybe arena football.

And then comes the stuff about beating on women.  If that is true he ass should be in jail.  Getting pissed at a woman is one thing, but hitting a woman makes you a pussy in my book.

Been a long time coming. He's been more or less a disaster since he got into the league.

I don't see many teams, if any, wanting to come within 100 yards of him. He's got to get himself some real help before he thinks about getting back on the football field.

Still not sure why he was drafted by the Browns. The warning signs were there and I am but sure anyone rated him highly ax a WB beyond being a college level "playmaker" in a system that fit him like a glove.

Actually, Manziel's "statement" to the press was a master job of trolling:

"I will always remember the support I received from the organization, my teammates and especially the fans."

I knew the second the Browns drafted him and the look on his face of disgust, they had effed up. Then again, no matter who would have drafted him, would have been the same exact result as today.
