OT: iSportsDave Says Charges will be Filed in MSU Case in Next 9 Days

Submitted by alum96 on

I don't know who isportsDave is but he has a litle blue checkmark next to his name, 11K followers, and seems to be some sort of MSU press.   I decided against the joke of charges coming in 3-9 days due to subject matter...

MSU's Spring game is 4/1 (insert legit joke here) so I'd assume even they would want this out ahead of that game so they can move on.  They've gone full submarine past few months.

Based on my sourcing, I think the next nine days will be eventful -- I expect charges to be filed and the spring game to go on as scheduled.

Makes sense. It won't take a genius to put 2 and 2 together if the rumored players aren't at the spring game.

I was initially supportive of the Ingham County Prosecutor taking her time to make sure she got this one right, but the longer this drags out I start to get suspicious. Jourdan Lewis was charged the same day, and a police report released a few days later. I understand the scope of the crimes was different, but the constant going back for more "investigating" is nerve-wracking. At this point there has to be enough evidence to charge or not charge.

More and more I'm getting the sense that the new Ingham Cty Prosecutor realizes she's sitting atop a powderkeg, and wants to dot all her i's and cross her t's.  The fact that iSportsDave said "Charges" is encouraging, assuming there actually was an assault.

If the players involved are who we suspect they are, this is going to be big news.  My only concern is that the prosecutor is slow-playing this to have the charges come down in the height of March Madness (and thus get less attention) - but I'm not cynical enough to posit that affirmatively without some more evidence.

Yet Dantonio continues to remain silent. Even about those players chasing their NFL dreams, the ultimate goal for any of his Spartans.

There has been no depth chart or roster released for MSU’s spring workouts. There has been no updates on players who had off-season surgery. There has been no response to two projected starters – Thiyo Lukusa and Jon Reschke – leaving the program. There has been no inkling on how the Spartans will recover from a disastrous 3-9 season.

No answers. Because no one is talking. Not even the face of the program.
