OT - I really hate USC

I hope he realizes he won't get paid or hang out with Will Ferrell on the sidelines like former Trojans.
do you know this kid? or upset they received another verbal commit?

kid seems like a big boy...i wish him well at USC
Im just hoping each night to see the post by Brian, Welcome Anthony Zettel....
Eh, they'll always be able to pull in some big recruits - 2 years is not forever, and it is still a big-time school. The issue with be with the reduced scholarship count - that really cuts into your depth, and one injury to a key players means you might be starting a walk-on. I won't begrudge them still recruiting, but I hope these recruits understand that it will be highly unlikely that USC is challenging for a MNC during their time in LA
It depends on what your gameplan as a recruit is. Exposure to get to the next level? MNC increases the exposure, but exposure doesn't stop for USC. In fact, USC may have increased viewership (people love to watcha winner falter).
I'll bet the pressure just went up to commit to USC now, or there won't be a slot to commit to. Can't you just see Kiffen using that line?
USC can have as many local 3-star guys as they want. It's the 5-star guys from 3000 miles away who magically find $1000 for a really nice suit to wear on signing day that I'm interested in seeing go elsewhere........
The fact that their first post-apocalyptic commitment was a three-star speaks volumes about the altered reality of USC football. Last year, USC had ONE three-star recruit according to Rivals (Scout had them with three).
USC will be able to fill their roster spots. In fact, it will be even easier to do so than in previous years given the smaller number of spots to fill. They may even get some big names. But they won't see those monster classes.
It's probably not a coincidence that the first post-sanctions USC commit is the lowest ranked of the class so far. This is not that good of a thing for USC.
With them only being allowed to sign 15 guys a year, they're going to want as many of those to be highly ranked as possible, especially in this class, since they will be relied on heavily over the next few years. I love it how this class already has 2 QB's, the position USC needs depth the least.
Don't worry, you aren't the only one.
I just stopped by, and there is a ridiculous article about how they were wronged by the NCAA, and about how there needs to be a media blitz to spread "the truth" about how they were wronged...unbelievable arrogance on their part.
I thought the typical USC fan was suppose to be smarter than the average bear. That's part of the reason we're so jealous of them, right?
just proves how envious you are.
Boom. Busted.
What many of you do not understand is that USC is like the Oakland/LA/Oakland Raiders. It doesn't matter what happens to the team, there is a very large core of die hard fans that will never abandon the team. Many are high school kids that could care less that USC got hit. They want to be a trojan. The history, the glamour and the honor to be a Trojan trumps all, especially if you are a football player in South Central.
all of these die hard fans at when stanford rolled them??? the coliseum cleared out as if there was a bomb scare...
Well they're only die hard when they're not getting killed.

Didn't expect any transfers for awhile, if at all, but perhaps the start of a sinking ship? That 15 scholarship cap a year will really hurt if there are even a decent amount of transfers...
reading the article. It seems as if it will be no big loss, the guy sounds like a risk to the team.
...remember seantrell henderson? didn't sign his LOI because of the coming sanctions, then eventually did sign with U$C? well if he would have waited until this came out the most impressive offensive line prospect in 10 years would be suiting up as a buckeye. id say you can love the trojans for that
I was thinking the same thing, soooooo glad the ncaa took their sweet time announcing the verdict.
So you hate USC for getting a recruit? OH NOES!!!!
This relates to USC, but not really the OPs topic. If USC wins out and wins the Pac-10, would the BCS auto bid go to #2 in the standings or would it still go to USC and they just wouldn't be able to go? Is it possible for there to be no Pac10 team in a BCS bowl because of this?
I think it'll go to the #2 team in the PAC-10... well, at least that seems the most logical result.
