OT: Georgia WR Jeremiah Holloman dismissed from team

Submitted by Magnus on June 22nd, 2019 at 8:06 AM

Georgia wide receiver Jeremiah Holloman was dismissed from the team. In case you don't remember, he was at one time committed to Michigan, along with high school teammate Kurt Taylor (who transferred to Loganville Grayson for his senior year). Holloman was Georgia's leading returning receiver (24 catches, 418 yards, 5 TD) going into this season.

This is the right move. He allegedly choked and punched a girl...in April...of 2018. Kirby Smart is really on the ball when it comes to meting out punishments.

I saw that a few minutes ago and thought about posting it. Never pleasant to read a story like that ...

On the lighter side, here's a story of a 911 call recently made by former Spartan Le'Veon Bell:

Bonus: Iggy and his former Canadian junior national teammate R.J. Barrett at a New York Rangers draft party:

So it took 14 months to investigate that?  And he was allowed to play through it?  That new FOIA law thing they implemented for Coach Smart seems to do its job well!!!

Kirby played for his Dad who is a now retired high school coach in Georgia where high school football is easily in the top four in the United States. Kurt Taylor and Michael Barrett played at national powerhouse prep programs. Harbaugh's recruiting in Georgia has been incredible and he has done it with Kirby Smart at UGA now. I expect Georgia to beat Alabama this year as they have been razor close for two years now. Coach Smart holds his players accountable including academically and Georgia is a good school.

They are still congratulating Kirby on their message boards for being such a disciplinarian “once he found out”, which is comical and sad.
