OT: Freep Interview with David Bertinelli about Eddie Van Halen
David Bertinelli, former brother-in-law of Eddie Van Halen, is a resident of Charlevoix, spent some time growing up in Clarkston, before his dad, who worked for GM, moved him, Valerie & family out to CA, where they met Eddie. David had photography as a hobby and took many pictures, some on tour. Thinking about publishing a book, but unfortunately, Eddie is no longer available for commentary. [Link.]

EVH was the zenith of guitar wankery. Everything that concerned technical prowess led to him, but he inspired a lot of utter sh**, and it was all downhill from there.

I've taken several glances at the OP's linked photo-story about Eddie Van Halen, in between bouncing between football, baseball and boxing (so many sports in one night) and it's some pretty awesome stuff, including the forever beautiful Valerie. Definitely worth a look and read!

That's a cool article. Life of a rock star tag-along, seeing it all as it happened.

Really liked VH back in the day. Thought Sammy was better than DLR. Eddie was an iconic guitar player, so talented!!!
