OT - Favre

Submitted by dinkmctip on
I don't know what ESPN will talk about this season, it appears Favre is not returning to Minnesota.

Set it in stone. I can hear it now "you've gotta wonder, what would this offense look like with brett favre, the greatest qb ever..wait...oh god...not the tebow police! I meant pro quarterback! God no, leave my family out of this!" Sorry...I got carried away...

It's not over yet. Half the analysts were saying he would still come in by week 8... So until that point, he will be mentioned once a week.

Sucks for Childress. How does he address the team? "Yeah I thought we would be better with Farve.. But don't worry we'll be fine!"

This whole situation = FAIL Yeah he'll be done until someone's QB goes down midseason and they'll be calling for him to come back out of retirement a la Culpepper/Testaverde.

Calm down, they still spent 20 minutes talking about how he is staying retired and then another 20 on how he was good. That one red headed EPSN chick was parked outside his house. Tons of people out there waiting to get their Wranglers signed.

I hated him before for being a fucking attention whore, but I hate him more with a passion that would rival hell. Along with ESPN, which I also hated before, HE's the only thing they're talking about right now, and they talk about Farve like they suck his fucking cock, while Jim Johnson passed away. WTF? A old overrated guy staying retired is more important than one of football's greatest defensive minds?!??!?! I hate ESPN and Brett Farve

Favre holds quite a few records: Consecutive starts by a quarterback, Games started by a quarterback, Career regular-season victories by a starting quarterback, Career passing touchdowns, Career passing yards, Career pass completions, Career pass attempts, Career games with at least three touchdowns and AP NFL MVP awards. He may be old, but I'd hardly call that overrated.

I'm with you dude. I'm a big Vikings fan, but I would have booed this tool mercilessly every time he touched the ball if he's have come to Minnesota. It would have gotten tiring real quick, but I was prepared for it. Does Favre have any fans left? He burned his bridges with Green Bay, laid waste to a playoff caliber Jets squad, then publicly toyed with signing to a division rival of the team that made him. Anyone out there NOT a Favre hater at this point?

I'd really, and truly love it if Favre would just fucking leave us alone already. This stems from two things 1. Being a Lions fan and him murdering us twice a season and 2. Him now being a snotty little bitch fest that drags on and on and on. I'd think it was just great if he just went away, showed up to his HOF induction, and then went back to Hattiesburg and walked his dog.

This is a lose-lose situation... he comes back... thats all they talk about... he doesn't... thats all they talk about... we will hear his name on damn NFL live at least once a show- for the entire season... For the record- I would have loved to see him come back and go 6-10 for the vikings...

Screw you Brett Favre. I say that from Wisconsin this week because every person I talk to here thinks he is a dick. The guy is an asshole for not giving the Packers and Rodgers more respect.

Watching Favre throw pick after pick after pick during the Jets stretch run, with the playoffs on the line, while the Chad Pennington Dolphins moved on was f'n glorious.

Honestly say is that he is overrated. One thing we CAN honestly say, is he is a media whore and most NFL fans want the old bastard to give it the hell up already! One more thing I can say in all honesty, is that ESPN is a damn JOKE!
