OT: Fantasy Football Start/Sit em Thread
I propose a new weekly OT thread: Fantasy Football Start/Sit em. Every week I encounter a dilemma and I'm sure I am not alone. Mods feel free to delete if this isn't a good idea. I think this could be a fun new tradition.
Disclaimer: I am in a NON-PPR 2 QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2Flex, 1 D/ST, 1 K league.
This week I am deciding between 3 players for 2 spots.
WR Golden Tate vs Arizona (24th ranked D vs Opposing WRs)-ESPN projection 7 Fpts
WR Brandon Marshall vs Minnesota (11th ranked D vs Opposing WRs)-ESPN projection 4 Fpts
RB Terrance West vs Houston (23rd ranked D vs Opposing RBs)-ESPN projection 10 Fpts
My thoughts:
Tate performed well opposite Megatron last week with 10 Fpts for me. I am most confident he will get one of the spots.
Marshall has been limited with an ankle inury but did rack up some points last week against GB once the game was already over. Minnesota has been really good against opposing WRS and it is gonna be a cold game (probably with snow) to be throwing footballs around for long chunks of yards. The last time I sat Marshall he went off against San Fran.
West is in line for the most snaps of the 3 RBS in Cleveland. It worked well last week against Cincy but I am skeptical of trusting him again even if Houston is a favorable matchup for RBs in what is going to be a cold game.
What are your thoughts on my dilemma? What is your Start/Sit em decision of the week?
Go Blue!

If the weather isn't bad in Chicago, I'd go Jeffery, especially if Marshall is limited. Second would be Sanu in the Superdome.

Crowell is starting for Cleveland.

Alright, Brandon Lafell or Martavis Bryant? Big steelers fan, so I may be a little biased towards Bryant.

I don't think you can go wrong with either pick, though I'd slightly lean toward LaFell since it's gonna be a shootout and it's indoors.

boldin playing strong recently, going up against a weak secondary...tough choice i'd have to roll with boldin though.

hot hand is Boldin so I'd pick him

shane vareen, cj anderson, and kelvin benjamin

Vereen and Benjamin. Benjamin is who Newton looks to when plays break down. Vereen is going to get a lot of looks today.

that carolina d is hemorrhaging points to opposing players

Jackson should be getting lots of carries. I foresee an Atlanta blowout and then they will run the clock out. I had Jackson last year and he severely disappointed me though. Second choice would be Richardson. Floyd probably wont do too well against the lions d

I started Asiata over Crowell and Tate -- thus far Asiata has not even been in the ballgame to my knowledge.
Evans has no targets through nearly a quarter of play against Washington.

and I should have started Larry Donnell.
Jennings has done nothing thus far. Marshall has 2 pts.
As a I result I trail 25-14.

Simultaneous long touchdowns for both puts me into the lead.

Marshall has 14 at half and West has 1. I made a good choice. Also my drafting of Emmanuel Sanders has probably been the best decision for me this year.

I made the decision to start Alshon over Martavis. Not bad, so far. Although Eli needs to pull his finger out and throw it to ODB.

Asiata still hasn't done a thing but holy shit has Mike Evans exploded -- 209 yards and 2 TDs. Grabbing him late in my PPR draft has turned out to be pure genius.

Sorry for recommending Asiata. At least I was right about Evans haha. He had a monster game and made up for Asiata sucking.

All I need are normal games out of Gronk and Le'Veon Bell and I'll have a seventh straight victory in the books. And if Crowell keeps carrying the mail for Cleveland (T West had five touches, Tate only two) then I'll be set for the playoffs with an RB tandem of L Bell and Crowell.
