OT: Euro 2016 France vs. Iceland (3:00pm EDT, ESPN)

Submitted by Wolverine In Iowa on

Neutrals' favorite Iceland takes on host France in what I see the end of the road for Iceland.  Led by Antone Griezmann, France should win by two.  I expect a good, clean match between two teams that respect each other.

Well, there will be a lot of storylines for France-Germany:

-It's a rematch of the 2014 World Cup quarterfinal (won by Germany 1-0)

-The two countries played in two WC semifinals in the 1980s.  The '82 game was a classic (3-3, won on penalties) marred by this awful incident.

-The last time Germany played a host nation in a semifinal (the 7-1 thrashing of Brazil)

-These two teams were playing last November when the terror attacks happened.

Yeah soccer players are pussies. You see crazy shit like people cleating others on purpose yet instead of backing up each other's teammates these dudes go crying to the ref as if the "card" will do shit to solve the situation in which a player gets gashed.

Must have something to do with lack of upper body strength or something idk.

I agree with the comments about soccer's "diving culture." That, and the way the players are allowed to be aggressive toward the ref are pathetic, and FIFA really needs to do something substantial about them. I hope that as the US team becomes a better and better side, that they don't succumb to being whiney little bitches like so many other teams. In fact, I would hope that the US team would set a new example, a tough example if you will, and defiantly get up quickly after hard challenges, and stop the lame appeals and writhing in pain only to jump up after the theatrics. In no other sport so we see people act this way, and since the US is relatively new to soccer on the world stage, why not set a new trend?
