OT- Detroit Lions vs Cleveland Browns

Submitted by woody on
It doesn't look like the Lions will defend their Pre-Season Championship this year. Down 20-0 after the first quarter.

Why hasn't Aaron Brown gotten a chance against the first string? If he gets split in half then we know it wasn't meant to be and the hype can end.

nothing they do goes right. I really wish Matt Millen was back. Getting rid of him ended a 20 year plan to turn the team around. Oh well. no sugarcoat

For the last ten years, whenever the Lions have played, it has made me happy I couldn't watch them down here. It almost makes up for the seven Saturdays a year I wish I were back in Ann Arbor.

Does anyone think that Aveion Cason is a terrible return man/running back/NFL player? I hate to say it but there are actually other players on their preseason roster that deserve a spot over him. He's not even the best returner on the roster. He hasn't done anything yet remains on the team year after year.

I dont care if that was his first game. He looked like he had never thrown a football in his life. And then the worst offense in the NFL(Cleveland) marches down the field and scores at will. Not to mention the kick coverage team that would have yeilded two touchdowns if not for a holding call. The lions are the definition of embarassment.

I was not a fan of the draft pick, and they way overpaid for him. He may turn out to be good...but they just showed some highlights on NFL network and he looked terrible...you are right, he looked like he had never thrown a ball before... Meanwhile, Chase Daniel looks great for the Skins...poised and making nice throws.

Stafford has a great arm, part of his problem is that he was working with the 2nd string receivers. The Lions top 3 receivers were not playing in the game. Stafford threw a beatiful bomb which would have been a TD to some backup WR who dropped it.
