So I just had 100 reps Rx. Top at my box (Invictus in Holland) so far has been 150 reps.
Most people can't snatch 135 w/out some practice--especially when you are that tired. I would like to see video of the gym owner who says he hit 204. That is... Suspicious.

It seems to hav a cultish hold over a certain percentage of its practicioners, sort of like the Atkins diet 10 years ago, and so people get annoyed at the "ZOMG it's teh only real workout, bro. CROSSFIT f*** yeah!"
That said, it is a pretty good workout and can be a perfect fit for some people.
