Chris Getz is the reason I didn't make varsity baseball as a senior.
OK, well, not really. The coach basically loaded up on as many juniors (Getz' class) as he could because he felt like that class was talented enough to win the state championship as seniors. Can hardly blame him. He was right.
its hard to blame griesbaum when you've got a future major leaguer on your roster....i'm sure some of those other juniors share more of the blame.
I'm pretty sure it's Getz. He's the one with the cash $$$$ and there's a lawsuit in there somewhere for emotional trauma, I just know it. All I gotta do is find the right lawyer.
Gimme a call.

Promote RichRod wants you to know he'll represent you soon. Because he'll be a lawyer soon. Since he goes to Law School. At Michigan.
As a Tiger fan I hope Getz does very well for any team outside of the AL Central. As always, fuck the White Sox.
F the White Sox. Getz knocked me and my HS team out of the State Quaterfinals the year they won it all. 7-5. Pretty decent team
I also say fuck the White Sox. I want Getz and Clayton Richard to do well, but I cannot cheer for that team. I wouldn't cheer for the White Sox if they were playing against Iraq.
i have no choice but to hop on the sox bandwagon. and it used to be tigers and cubs only for me..
What do you mean you have no choice? And since when do the white sox have a bandwagon? They are one of the least cool teams to root for. Putting on a white sox hat says "I live in a cool city, but in the shitty part."
b/c i've known chris for awhile and want him to succeed.
and believe it or not, the sox do have an occasional bandwagon - most recently in 2005, when most of the wrigleyville trixies that claimed to be die-hard cubs fans were sporting sox gear shortly after the WS victory...though to your point, i guess that was short-lived...
So, all Sox fans live on the South Side? I guess you must live in Hollywood or Compton.
The Sox thing was a joke, but a lot of them live on the south side.
I don't get the Hollywood or Compton thing though. It's probably funny, but tell me what you mean.
So you would cheer for Iraquis over a U.S.-based team? I am Cards fan, and I would even cheer for the Cubs in that situation. You are a communist. And I'm pretty sure I ripped you off in Markley in 2002....
I don't think I bought anything in Markley in 2002, unless you worked at The Underground and you charged me too much entree plus.
It's weird, but I don't have huge amounts of hatred for the White Sox, except for their announcer Hawk Harrelson. I reserve 95% of my baseball hatred for the Red Sox and Yankees. Let's just say there are five or six teams I'd pull for the White Sox against in an ALCS/World Series.
My hate is spread squarely between the Cubs and Mets. And seeing as the enemy (White Sox) of my enemy (Cubs) is my friend... I'll take the Sox any day. I realize the rivalry hasn't been that heated over the long haul, but its growing.
How can you hate the Cubs?
Being a loser isn't loveable. It's pathetic. And I'm from another NL Central market. Seeing the cubs get so much attention for accomplishing nothing for 101 years? I can't stand it. I can respect the Cardinals, they win things. Cubs, no way. My team still hasn't won anything, but they've been closer to a championship than the cubs have in decades.
And don't even get me started on how shitty Wrigley is. It has it's couple of cool points, but the stadium itself is garbage.
According to the local media, Getz has the inside track for the job. But, Ozzie refuses to simply hand it to him. Lilibridge is also mentioned but I'm guessing Chris gets the nod. However, I'm willing to bet we'll see 'Lili' at some point during the season.
with the rest of the division, I did a post here.
I take it by your username (and other posts) that you live in the Los Angeles area; therefore you must live in Hollywood or Compton (well known areas within LA). It wasn't meant as a joke. It was more to illustrate that generalizations (like "all Sox fans live on the South Side of Chicago" or "The south side of Chicago is a $hit hole") are kind of dumb. There are Sox fans throughout the Chicago area and northern Illinois. And, while there are some really nasty areas on the South Side, it isn't all nasty (especially Bridgeport - Mayor Daley's 'hood).
