I just died for a moment. For some reason I read Brian Kelly. Whew!

Haha, I did too. I clicked on here fully expecting to neg whoever posted a joke thread about Brian Kelly's year.

It makes sense. After all the crap Oregon went through in the offseason, I don't think there were many people who though they'd be in the NC

Especially given the season Ole Miss had, it looks as though the loss of Masoli was addition by subtraction.

The award is well deserved. Hopefully our coach is kept around long enough to win the same award.

Everybody knows Mark Dantonio was the coach of the year... err at least Warden of the year for his work release program...

Everybody deserves a 52nd chance
December 22nd, 2010 at 10:38 AM ^
That's what zero tolerance means. Surprised you didn't know that.
December 22nd, 2010 at 10:52 AM ^
counts as 1/100th of a chance. With the zero tolerance policy, everybody gets one chance.
Fractional chances are rounded down.

Mark Dantonio and Tom Izzo, Co-Coaches of the Year.
Without Izzo, we'd never have known that at least some NCAA sanctions are silly and pointless exercises in flyspecking rules.
And without Dantonio, we'd never have known the importance of balancing team discipline with opportunities to remain in a collegiate sports program to get the benefits of that discipline.
{Sigh.}

He more than deserved that punch.

For saying "How 'bout that ass kicking?" No
For looking like a the biggest doucher ever? Yes
December 22nd, 2010 at 10:43 AM ^
Of course if someone on our team did that it would because RR fails to instill family values and he isnt a Michigan man. However I know having someone taunt me after losing like that guy did would make it very hard for me to not punch him.
December 22nd, 2010 at 10:38 AM ^
The expression on his face in that screen capture makes me want to punch him and given the glass jaw that guy has I might be able to get away with it.

I'm not saying it was the right thing to do, but I certainly understand doing it!. I like to think that the next time he begins to talk smack after a team victory, this individual will begin to stutter and twitch.

It was in the cards.

Looks like Oregon is a fan of MGoShoe

Now that's funny. The first thing I thought of was MGoShoe when I saw that.

Of. The. Year.
It might have been the post of the year in 2009, too. But it is even better now, with the Boise State and Oregon programs up for, uh, "honors."
December 22nd, 2010 at 10:38 AM ^
I'll forever love you for giving a fan his money and travel expenses back after the Boise State game.

2011 Coach of the year
Coach Rich Rod

Love me some Chip Kelly - he's great for college football. The post above that mentioned how he hand wrote a note (and a check) to the fan complaining about the money he spent on the Boise St. game in 2009 was amazing.
Then he went off in 2010 with the best college football offense I've seen in awhile. Also seems like a guy that the kids love to play for.
I'll be rooting for Oregon in the Natty Title - don't know much about Chizik, but anytime you're in bed with a "pay for play" player, there's trouble.
