NHL re-start is officially official!

Pens-Flyers on NBCSN right now.

Habs-Leafs at 8 ET on NHL Network, followed immediately by Flames-Oilers.

For an in-depth look at what the bubble life entails, read this:

The league's attention to detail here is incredible. I was tempted to label it overkill, but then I remembered how badly baseball has begun.

I used to have a Super Chexx. Wings & Avalanche in a bubble & none of them got Covid. Traded it for an Arachnid Dartboard. Never heard back from those guys but I'm guessing they're sitting in a basement somewhere not social distancing.

had many epic USA-USSR games just up Crooks from that Caesarland at the Thunderbird Lanes SuperChexx.  I was fortunate to pick up a Carrom Sports (HQ-Ludington,MI) bubble hockey w/ working electronic scoreboard for only $50 from Craigslist.  My twins started playing it when they were 5 standing on folding chairs in our basement.  anyone remember  bubble soccer?

It looks like they've taken all of the steps to provide safety to the players and club personnel in both hub cities as well as making them going into the bubble as comfortable for them, as well.

I can't wait for this to start and hope that they will be able to complete the season and have someone lift the Cup. Honestly, if they can't, no one will.

Let's go Rangers!

This (bubble life) was always going to be easiest for hockey of all the sports just by nature of how the game has always been (and really has been for years), with respect to time away from family and being isolated together as a team, particularly come playoff time. “Life in the bubble” could very easily have been the name for any playoff hockey documentary in recent years that NHL Network has done...

NHL playoffs are going to be really weird without fans. There is nothing like watching playoff hockey and getting sucked into all the emotion and roaring from the fans. Everyone is always so on edge with every single shot on goal, and even the announcers get into it too.

In normal times, there is no more exciting postseason sport to watch than hockey. And then if you’re fortunate enough to get a game 7? Forget about it. That’s pretty much the same as a shot of adrenaline going straight into your body continuously for three hours.
